James Wan Fans 3 years, 11 months agoSaw, Dead Silence, Death Sentence- Which is your favorite?
I’ll have to go with Death Sentence mainly because I have a huge soft spot for Death Wish style gritty revenge flicks.

What’chya guys think about that? He’s got a pretty big role in the upcoming and highly anticipated Quentin Tarantino Nazi-War fairy tale Inglorious Basterds, so what do you guys think of him as an actor thus far?
Personally I don’t think he’s a terrible actor like many do. I think he’s pretty decent with a lot of room for improvement. I’m…[Read more]

I think he’s decent. I thought he was hilarious in Cabin Fever and not bad in Death Proof. He’s one of the very few things I’m looking to in Inglourious Basterds.
-
He was pretty funny in his brief cameo in 2001 Maniacs. :he: One of my favorite moments from that flick.
-
Yeah he was hilarious in 2001 Maniacs.
-
I wonder if Tarantino’s gonna put him in any future projects?
-
I don’t care much
I think he’s hot
-
He generally brings that great “Over the top” role to his character; kind of like Bill Murray, or a less bipolar/more funny Robin Williams. (JK, gotta love the Williams)
-
hes a great actor.:pirate:
-
I think he’s funny in cameos
. -
who didn’t like him as the bear jew- my favorite basterd-let’s hope he gets many more roles- he’d make a great Bundy
-
He is a funny dude, even in interviews he is entertaining. So I think it’s great to see him acting, cabin fever (pot head) was a f-in riot….
-
He’s great. I want him to be in more. Though I definitely would rather him direct more. Nom.
-
(To cwaritsky: I totally agree that he would make a great Bundy. So. Hot.)
-
I loved his cameo in Piranha as the wet tshirt DJ.:he: He was really good in Inglorius Bastards.
-
He was awesome in Piranha 3D!

LordSimen posted a new activity comment 3 years, 11 months agoIn reply to: MovieGeek posted an update in the group Rob Zombie fans By now we all know Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween is hated by most fanboys but what do you Rob Zombie fans think about it? I wasn’t sure what to think […] ViewI like the movie. It’s flawed and pretty much for the very reasons that Zombie himself has admitted, that the movie’s basically two very different movies in one that don’t quite gel together into a cohesive whole. The movie’s at it’s best when it’s coming out of Zombie’s mind and at it’s worst when Zombie’s trying to stay somewhat faithful to…[Read more]

LordSimen posted a new activity comment 3 years, 11 months agoIn reply to: MovieGeek posted an update in the group Eli Roth Fans So what’s your favorite? Cabin Fever? Hostel? Hostel Part II? It’s tough for me to choose a favorite but I’ll go with Hostel Part II. ViewThe first Hostel’s my favorite of the bunch but they all have their own qualities that make them great. I do agree with the consensus that Hostel: Part II is his most mature film to date and does show that he’s growing as a film maker and Cabin Fever is a very fun Evil Dead style gore fest.

LordSimen posted a new activity comment 3 years, 11 months agoIn reply to: MovieGeek posted an update in the group Rob Zombie fans I personally found The Devil’s Rejects to be superior. One of my favorite horror films of all time. What about you? ViewCompletely agree on Rejects. It’s a fantastic homage to 70′s road movies with a horror twist on it. Everythin’ from it’s look to it’s acting is a complete upgrade from House, which I found to be enjoyable but mediocre. It’s got great moments, no doubt, but I think Rob Zombie suffered from cramming way too much into his first film.

Which one are you anticipating more, and why. Oh, if you’re anticipating neither, explain why as well. :p
Personally I can’t wait for Endangered Species if only because I want to see Eli prove to others what he can do when he’s not just creating an all out gore-fest.
-
Thanksgiving all the way. Endangered Species sounds cool but I’m more up for some old school splatter.
-
Yeah, it would be interesting to see Eli Roth do another kind of genre film, especially on a massive budget.
But having a soft spot for the slasher sub-genre, I’m really buzzing about ‘Thanksgiving’! The faux trailer in ‘Grindhouse’ was incredible! In just them two minutes and thirty odd seconds, it completely gave me the great nostalgic…[Read more]

Thanksgiving easily, because I loved the faux trailer.
-
I want Thanksgiving, trailer was gory and funny, plus it’s a holiday slasher film.(CLASSIC) . Nuff said.

thanksgiving that looked really good funny and bloody looking

LordSimen posted a new activity comment 3 years, 11 months agoIn reply to: mmyersisgod posted an update in the group Italian Horror Lovers So who is everyone’s favorite Italian Horror director? Mine is Lucio Fulci with Sergio Martino or Umberto Lenzi coming in second. ViewIt’s a tie for me between Lucio Fulci and Mechele Soavi. Gods among men, they are.

The original Saw of course.
Dead Silence and Death Sentence both rock though:cool:
Dead Silence, Saw is a standard, love the series
I love Dead Silence. But Saw is good too.
saw.:pirate:
As much as I love Saw, I gotta hand it to Dead Silence. Such a fun, urban legend style ghost movie.
Yeah, i also think Saw is his best.
Dead Silence was great, wasn’t feeling it to much for Saw
saw was great but dead silence is grossly under-rated…
I haven’t seen Death Sentence yet. SAW but Dead Silence gave me nightmares!
