ive seen some gameplay footage from part 2, and im glad they are improving the close quarters combat by adding an axe and a chainsaw. You need something for when those undead bastards swarm ya, that pistol whip just wasnt cutting it.

pistol whippin, or shotgun whippin, or m-16 whippin, worked fine for me durin swarms lol well for the most part

i dunno, that axe looks pretty brutal, cuttin heads off like dandelions, no whipping needed. lol. the chainsaw is purely to apease the nerds. lol. like me.

I dunno. I think if it was like real life, you could get a good arc with that thing and cut off like three heads at once. And the chainsaw should be great for Close Quarters combat, I think that is where some improvements could be made to part 1

Very very excited about L4D2. I saw some rough game play and while it still needs a lot of work it looks like so much fun.

A wider range of guns would be nice in L4D2. But lets hope it keeps the manic, gory gameplay!

I’m very psyched about L4D2. I didn’t have a problem with the close combat action in the first one, although axes and chainsaws would be a nice touch. Also, I wish you could hold more than just 1 pipe bomb and/or molotov cocktail at a time… that was really one of the only improvements I can think of.

Nah one Pipe Bomb or Molotov is enough. It would be to easy, if everybody has 2 or 3 pipes. The boomer would be unnecessary. He pukes and pukes and all the zombies try to catch the pipe like stupid dogs :he:

But maybe they add one or two new items ?

who do you guys like to play as online (L4D1)? Hunters are awesome, boomers are effective too.

I’m really looking forward to it! It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in the day… and the Wandering Witch should be interesting. I can’t wait to try out the frying pan! Online, I like to play either Boomers :puke: or Smokers.

Really looking forward to part 2…. but it pisses me off a little bit that they barely updated the first one and never added a new campaign. They only added survival mode and the Lighthouse. Cool, but still kind of disappointing.

Finally chainsaws!! I was exploding with anticipation for L4D2 when I saw a preview for it. I am glad there are a whole new set of characters even if being Zooey is my favorite. Is there an official trailer for it yet or release date? I haven’t seen anything about it except what they put on G4 and there was only enought ther to piss me off.

Go pre-order it and get the demo! It’s awesome!

I don’t know. Collecting figures and stuff isn’t for everyone and I understand that. On the other hand, people who look down on it can sit on a flag pole as far as I’m concerned.

I love collecting figures. I do go through waves however. Plus it can get VERY expensive if you get obsessed about it like a have in the past. I usually like to just spend a little more and get the truly amazing collectible about every 6 months, rather than buying every $16.00 figure that comes to my local comic book shop.

I love collecting horror stuff. My problem is I have no where to put it. I have several autographed posters and a few toys I have on my desk at work.

I try not to spend too much money, I do let myself buy one thing a month if its under $10. Mostly its Freddy stuff pens, dolls, action figures, pretty much anything that has his face on it. My newest one is the glove belt buckle, I really want the shoes but I can’t afford them.

I have 3 authentic jason masks. part 3, 5. and a remake.

I also collect mostly Freddy stuff. I don’t buy things very often as I don’t have much space. I’ve got Freddy and Leatherface headknockers, a few screengrabs, a few action figures, Hellraiser film cells and the Nightmare on Elm Street board game! (Never played it though)

I collect Horror Dvds and to a lesser extent I collect masks and horror magizines as well.

lately I’ve been trying to get my horror and films on Blu-Ray. I’m trying to get a good collection Of Blu-ray Elegant Collections(the first I bought tonight was the 89 Batman..I am picking up Poltergeist and the Matrix soon)

I love to collect slasher films on dvd, especially rare, OOP ones. For instance, I have Madman and House on Sorority Row on dvd and I just recently ordered Slumber Party Massacre from Amazon.

Just got the slasher film Curtains on DVD-R in the mail.

I joined cause I like collecting whatever I can find. I don’t really have anything super rare (probably the closest is my LE tin of Evil Dead II, only 50000 made in the entire world) but I have a shit ton of movies, as well as some figures and posters.

Just picked up the movie books for NOES 1,2,3,4,5,New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason…The book for part 3 is freaking weird, nothing like the movie.
also got the Nancy sitting in tub action figure, they had it under horror action figure instead of NOES on ebay…got it for like $7..whoo hoo

I actually have the book for Part 3 as well, it is a lot different than the movie. Hell, I haven’t even seen my copy of it in forever, I should see if I can find it around here somewhere.

I got all of the books off of Amazon for really cheap, like 4 bucks for each. I am looking for the Freddy’s Dead one but can’t find any info if it even exists.
