The Wolf’s Hour was a pretty cool book (although Swan’s Song is definately McCammon’s best), I really liked the way White Wolf depicted werewolves in their World of Darkness games and novels.

I saw Project: Metalbeast years ago, I remember it being like a good (haha) sci-fi (sorry SyFy, lame) channel movie. Entertaining in a cheesy way, then again I just watch Howling VI: The Freaks, also fun & cheesy.

I love the Subspecies films, not only are these my favorite Full Moon films, but my favorite vampire films in general.

Well of course there’s the biggies, An American…, Howling, but I also really dig Dog Soldiers, the Ginger Snaps series, the Underworld flicks, and one of my guilty pleasures is Bad Moon, I know the morphing transformation sucks, but the werewolf itself is pretty sweet!:chainsaw:

I don’t download movies or endorse bootlegs at all, I want to buy the movie, I want it on my shelf, w/box art, special features the whole deal!

Yea I totally agree with you, hate the theater, hate the crowds, shitty seats, prices. Besides I didn’t turn my living room into a entertainment room for no reason, better picture & sound at home anyway.

Oh I totally agree, but Dimension owns the rights to both & at the time that’s all they were thinking. “We got these 2 horror properties, lets cross ‘em over.” But hey, it didn’t happen.

Cool as it would’ve been, it never would’ve happened the licensing could’ve never been worked out Freddy & Jason are with New Line, Michael is with Dimension. A Halloween/Hellraiser (Helloween?) crossover was seriously considered for a while, who knows how they would’ve pulled that one off though?

Michael vs the Miner (MBV) could be fun, anyone familier with the Jason vs Leatherface comic book that came out in the mid 90s, it’s some goofy fun.

You know I suppose that would depend on the flick, the scene & whatnot, but it could work, given the right circumstances.

Personally I’d rather see simple music, by an orchestra and sound effects & the like, No music with the exception of background & closing credits.

I’m proud to say when most people come into my house for the first time they say that it’s like a horror museum, statues, toys, framed posters, autographs all over the home. I know I’m a geek, I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’m surrounded by what I love!

  • Well just thought I’d say hello to no one. I live here in Vegas & I’m a Horror fiend, have a huge movie collection & I also collect anything else I can get my hands on. I know I can’t be the only one here in Vegas, it’s too strange a town!

In reply to: Evil-Thing posted an update in the group THE HORROR ! My favorite horror film as to be Dawn of the Dead ( Romero ) this is the film that set the pace for the living dead. View

For all-time favorite, and this is tough I have to go with Black Christmas, the original of course. This movie not only birthed the slasher film, but also the holiday killer film & set the bar pretty high. It’s a valid arguement that we wouldn’t have Halloween (or the torrent that followed) without Black Christmas.

Recently I really enjoyed Diary of the Dead & Fido, an older one that most might not have seen is “The Dead Hate the Living”, dtv budget but really entertaining & a lot of references. I’m really looking forward to Romero’s next “…of the Dead” & Zombieland looks pretty damn good!

There’s a few flicks with this same title so be careful, all in all it’s a pretty bad & ridiculous movie, but the creepy 20-something playing a who bites off his nipple will give you a joke that never gets old![Read more]

I love both those flicks & both those directors, I think they’re both great horror movies, but I just don’t quite feel they’re really slasher films….maybe it’s just me. Little league or big leage, does it matter if you enjoy the flick? The entire horror genre is little league compared to most other film genre’s, that doesn’t matter to most of us…
