Liked the book, liked the movie. Did it drag a bit? Yes. Could the Bonies have been done scarier? Probably. Still a fun night out for my (slightly twisted) family and the lead as R sold it for me.

Wonder if they’ll get Stephen King to do a sneak peek. I vividly remember his quote selling the original movie, something about him “cowering behind his seat” and calling the flick “ferocious…” God, I’m old.

Another take on Event Horizon might be cool. I loved the premise but didn’t think the movie did the idea full justice. I agree with Salem’s Lot, too.

I would welcome a sequel if it was solely focused–now that it doesn’t need ALIEN to stand behind–as its own movie about the Engineers and their intentions.
