I dunno, what do you guys think? I remember being way hyped for the movie, then when it came I was a little dissappointed. Its not a bad movie, by any means, but its just not nearly as cool as the games.

I got a used PS1 from a game shop in town that came with some free rentals. I originally grabbed RE2 but when it didn’t work they switched it for a copy of SH to see if it was the disc or the machine. Turns out it was the machine, but I played the hell out of the game. The elevator scene in the first one freaked me out.

I was maybe 14 or 15 and Silent Hill had just came out. My sister was the first to introduce me. She had rented it with her friend and they were freaked out! hmmmm, favorite horror movie would be the old Dawn of the dead, favorite death is the zombie head blast in the scene in the projects. Gotta love that moment, its like a punch to the gut.
Favorite guy moment… always thought the guy from Hostel and Quarentine was a stud…. cant think of his name but he looks awesome in Hostel with no shirt.

Yeah those tanks are fuckin evil, i almost always get clobbered by them. The witch is very creepy, you can hear her crying, and if you startle her, its curtains for ya. I dunno. I think if it was like real life, you could get a good arc with that thing and cut off like three heads at once. And the chainsaw should be great for Close Quarters combat, I think that is where some improvements could be made to part 1

ive seen some gameplay footage from part 2, and im glad they are improving the close quarters combat by adding an axe and a chainsaw. You need something for when those undead bastards swarm ya, that pistol whip just wasnt cutting it.

well the movie was bad. really bad. There were not enough tension. It was not Silent Hill. Few different monsters here and there and to put Pyramid Head to please the fans? that’s not the real Silent Hill. I was very disappointed.. (I still loved Sean Bean)

It looks good, literally the visuals are pretty good but damn did it piss me the hell off.
If you want to see a good “Silent Hill” movie watch Jacobs Ladder which the first game is biased on.
I am probably going to get bitch slapped for this, but I have never played the game. Honestly, I have only ever owned a regular Nintendo system. The movie, I think, is quite good although could have touched on the game more. For example, why did they turn the main character (Harry Mason) into a woman!?
Good points in the movie though include the rubber face which spits acid on the cop chick. Looks just like the game version of rubber face!
