although there’s bands that are way more satanic than slayer,they were one of the first to draw attention to the subject in the 80′s.i’d have to say my favorite album is ‘show no mercy’.even though the recording is crude,song for song it’s a great album.’black magic’ fading up in the beginning sets the mood like the beginning of a horror movie’s theme does.

Favourite albums: Show no Mercy, Hell Awaits, Reign in Blood, Seasons in the Abyss.
Favourite songs: The Antichrist, Chemical Warfare, Black Magic (= groovy build up in sound like you already mentioned), Hell Awaits, Angel of Death (= has the coolest intro scream ever).
