Gigan… poor guy needs more love.
-
Awesome group!! I just started writing a weekly article called Attack Of The Giant Monsters. My favorite is Godzilla and I really started liking Gamera with the trilogy they did in the 90′s.
-
:pirate:nice, man.ive only seen the first 6 gameras from the original series.
-
The old school Showa Godzilla films are what inspired me to make movies. It was pretty much ; and even though it is a Heisei film, . Those were the ones that really inspired me and it was more or less and . I was kinda bummed when Sony released and it didn’t have the original dub from the VHS version.[Read more]

Hellraiser Appreciation Group!!! December 11, 2009 4:35 pmOne thing that I just absolutely love about the book was the description of Pinhead which goes something like…
“across his entire head was an intricate grid with a jeweled pin driven up to the hilt…” (not verbatim)
All I’m trying to say is that the book was utterly fantastic and would like to discuss it? Any interesting interpretations…[Read more]

‘The Hellbound Heart’ now seems something extra extraordinary and special because of where the franchise took the Pinhead character. In the book Pinhead (or Lead Cenobite) was ambiguous…an androgynous, perhaps even female, certainly not the major character but a servant of hell. The films downplayed the dark sexuality of the cenobites to an…[Read more]

Fantastic read. I read it during my time in college.

It’s been about ten years but I remember that too. Has anyone heard anything about when Scarlet Gospels is going to be released? I love Clive but he’s been a little flaky of late.

BD Xenomorph Fan Club August 18, 2009 4:27 pmFor me it’s always been Aliens…one of my favorite all time flicks.
-
Aliens is one of the best sci fi action flicks of all time and is my favourite. The first one is great too. 3 had a lot of great ideas that just didn’t gel and 4 had some surreal imagery but fell short of the mark.
-
Aliens. Hands down greatest movie of any genre ever. No need to preach to the choir I suppose.
-
is the better movie (by some distance), whilst has the better replay value.[Read more]
-
Alien is my number 1 with Alien3 and Aliens coming in at a close second. Resurrection is a drop in quality but still a lot of fun.
-
I love the first two films equally. ‘Alien 3′ and ‘Alien: Resurrection’, are depressingly disappointing sequels. The AVP spin offs are even worse! I hope Ridley Scott, at least makes a decent prequel, or obviously at most something great. This once brilliant franchise, is due some long awaited respect again!
-
I like Alien, Aliens and Alien 4. I think 3 is a little on the boring side, when 4 at least has a lot more Alien action!
-
ALIEN and ALIEN 3 are the best, because they are more horror than action movies. Sure, I like the other movies but I prefer horror to action.
-
I would have to go Aliens, with Alien right behind it. Then 3 and 4
-
Alien and Aliens are neck and neck for me. They are both great movies that were masterfully made, and they both work for totally different reasons.
Alien 3 was good I thought, but it just didn’t quite work. I thought the strongest part was the chase scene and the death of the alien, but the very end was… just stupid. It was cheesy and…[Read more]

i like all.

Alien and Aliens are the superior films in my mind.
I found Alien 3 had a totally different tone to the first and at times the sound quality was totally off. It was quiet. Though it did really well in Europe.
I wanted to like Alien Resurrection so bad… but Winona Ryder?!
Seriously… Winona Ryder!!?? So so wrong…
And the Alien versus…[Read more] -
Aliens has always been my fave
-
aliens has got to be ny choice with alien not to far behind it. as far as im concerned alien 3 is not a bad film but the ending sucked while alien 4 never exsisted in my head it was a disgrace of a film!!!
-
Alien is my fav. The Chest Burster(sp), Space Jockey, being the first installment into this story, easy choice for me.
-
I’mleaning to go with Count Orlok on this, I love Alien 3 and it oozes the same atmosphere as the first. However, I’m full aware Aliens is the better movie. I’m more or less tied with the first three films, and I find the 4th just to be a fun pop corn flick, I don’t take it seriously. Which, is a shame considering how the franchise originated.…[Read more]

Eli Roth Fans July 20, 2009 6:06 pmSo what’s your favorite? Cabin Fever? Hostel? Hostel Part II?
It’s tough for me to choose a favorite but I’ll go with Hostel Part II.
-
Agreed. ‘Hostel: Part II’ is Eli Roth’s most accomplished film so far. I’m looking forward to ‘Thanksgiving’.
-
The first Hostel’s my favorite of the bunch but they all have their own qualities that make them great. I do agree with the consensus that Hostel: Part II is his most mature film to date and does show that he’s growing as a film maker and Cabin Fever is a very fun Evil Dead style gore fest.
-
‘Cabin Fever’ was a competent debut and very entertaining. ‘Hostel’ was an even better follow up, with ‘Hostel: Part II’ being Eli Roth’s best work so far. He’s still honing his skills as a filmmaker, but it is evident film by film, that he is becoming a better director with each one. They’ve all been good so far, and in the near future he will…[Read more]

Cabin Fever
. -
Hostel II for sure. I was on the edge of my seat. It was super bloody and sadistic. I loved the scene where Heather Matarazzo was hanging by her feet naked and was sliced up and bled to death while another woman bathed in her blood!
-
My favorite Eli Roth movie is definitely ‘HOSTEL Part II’ – as a girl I can say there is nothing misogynistic about this movie (as many critics have said)! Eli Roth has created one of the best final girls ever seen on screen! Just awesome! And Cabin Fever is a great homage to ‘night of the living dead’ and ‘Evil Dead’, silent and creepy like the virus!

cabin fever
-
favourite has to be hostel part 1.
i thought cabin fever was pretty cool too – the bath scene..CRINGE.
but the only thing i have to say about him…Peaches Geldof? Really?! -
I would have to choose ‘Hostel’, though ‘Hostel II’ was more deliciously bloody.
I did dig ‘Cabin Fever’ too but not enough blood and gore for me. -
Hostel. One of my favorite flicks of all time.
-
cabin fever was shown as a “secret”show in texas at an old abandoned haunted insane asylum, projected on the wall, the audence did not know what was going to play, but i think…..
they could have mixed wrong turn 1 and cabin fever into the same movie, that would have been good, just take out all the cheeze from wt1 add the good parts to cabin…[Read more] -
