Left4Dead Fans June 8, 2009 1:14 pmWelcome to all members, what’s your verdict on Left4Dead 2?
-
I can’t wait for L4D2!! The 1st is one of my fav games ever and the trailer for the 2nd just had me all giddy! i can’t fn wait!!!
-
What is your favorite zombie to play as online? I like hunters, sometimes boomers.
-
I actually dont have my xbox connected to online (live), kinda cant but it’s alright, but i would definatly play as the hunter online. i love his look and his style, but i’d def also play as the tank haha big fucker
-
ive seen some gameplay footage from part 2, and im glad they are improving the close quarters combat by adding an axe and a chainsaw. You need something for when those undead bastards swarm ya, that pistol whip just wasnt cutting it.
-
pistol whippin, or shotgun whippin, or m-16 whippin, worked fine for me durin swarms lol well for the most part
-
i dunno, that axe looks pretty brutal, cuttin heads off like dandelions, no whipping needed. lol. the chainsaw is purely to apease the nerds. lol. like me.
-
the axe may be brutal but itsnt it slow? i would think that that would make a difference durin a swarm, no?
-
I dunno. I think if it was like real life, you could get a good arc with that thing and cut off like three heads at once. And the chainsaw should be great for Close Quarters combat, I think that is where some improvements could be made to part 1
-
speakin of the 1st one, just lil random questions A) what was yalls fav campaign & Specific level and why? B) Which Special Infected Pissed You Off And Scared You The most? to me, my fav campaign was, ah, i cant remember the name of the campaign but it was the second one i believe where u had to get to a church in one level of it then the level…[Read more]
-
Yeah those tanks are fuckin evil, i almost always get clobbered by them. The witch is very creepy, you can hear her crying, and if you startle her, its curtains for ya. Not sure about a favorite level, i dont like the level where your in the woods, i think its either the second or third campaign. Too much cover for the zombies and you just have to…[Read more]

the level with the big cornfield? i think that’s the last campaign
-
yeah that level with the cornfield is a bitch. I try to get up high and snipe those fuckers.

uh… no wait, i guess its mr_halloween24_7

Very very excited about L4D2. I saw some rough game play and while it still needs a lot of work it looks like so much fun.
-
A wider range of guns would be nice in L4D2. But lets hope it keeps the manic, gory gameplay!
-
Damn I wrote so much, but the forum doesn’t allow it. I’m too lazy now to make 3 posts and always hope, that it is short enough. … Maybe I’ll wirte my opinion later, after I’m back from work.
@ Ollie:
There will be more weapons, different ammunition types and melee weapons. Furthermore it looks more brutal and we will get 2 new special infected. -
Sounds quality
-
Sounds more like an add on…
The game will have only 5 campaigns. Check out . There you can find some videos of L4D2 in the news.[Read more] -
will do, ty
-
I’m very psyched about L4D2. I didn’t have a problem with the close combat action in the first one, although axes and chainsaws would be a nice touch. Also, I wish you could hold more than just 1 pipe bomb and/or molotov cocktail at a time… that was really one of the only improvements I can think of.
-
Nah one Pipe Bomb or Molotov is enough. It would be to easy, if everybody has 2 or 3 pipes. The boomer would be unnecessary. He pukes and pukes and all the zombies try to catch the pipe like stupid dogs :he:
But maybe they add one or two new items ?
-
who do you guys like to play as online (L4D1)? Hunters are awesome, boomers are effective too.
-
I’m really looking forward to it! It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in the day… and the Wandering Witch should be interesting. I can’t wait to try out the frying pan! Online, I like to play either Boomers :puke: or Smokers.
-
Really looking forward to part 2…. but it pisses me off a little bit that they barely updated the first one and never added a new campaign. They only added survival mode and the Lighthouse. Cool, but still kind of disappointing.
-
Dead Rising 2 looks like fun.
The first game was great in my opinion and I can’t wait to buy the sequel! -
Check out for new videos of the jockey, spitter, pax and melee weapons. I’m too lazy to post all videos here.[Read more]
-
Finally chainsaws!! I was exploding with anticipation for L4D2 when I saw a preview for it. I am glad there are a whole new set of characters even if being Zooey is my favorite. Is there an official trailer for it yet or release date? I haven’t seen anything about it except what they put on G4 and there was only enought ther to piss me off.
-
Go pre-order it and get the demo! It’s awesome!
-
i love the settings and weapons!

Favorite Kills! May 22, 2009 11:43 amI’ll get things rolling, I personally always like when a little humor is added to the kill, it just makes it a bit more sinister! Anyway, one of my fav’s comes from a not so memorable movie called The Pumpkin Karver, yes the scene where the kid is peeing and his head is cut off, it lands in front of his dead, peeing and still standing body, and he…[Read more]
-
don’t know about favorite, but the one that stays in my head is the one from the first feast movie, where the biker chick gets face f**ked and then blows up… I can’t think of any scene more disturbing, a real WTF moment.
-
I’ll submit ; Jason impales a guy on a large drilling bit. When his friends find him dead, they report over the radio; “He’s screwed.”
Bwhahahahahah![Read more]
-
Captain Rhodes’ death from the brilliant original ‘Day of the Dead’, is one of my favorites (4 minutes in):
-
I don’t know if this one is my favorite, but it stands out the most in recent memory. When Keiffer sutherlands sister (Mirrors) gets her jaw separated from her head, caught me off guard and was seemingly original.
-
Rosemarys Killer (AKA Prowler)…The scene in the swimming pool where he rams a knife through the top of her skull and out of her chin…Simple and effective….ALSO, Halloween II, the corridor scene with the scalpel…Classic!
-
A classic has to be where the guy in 28 weeks later gauges the eyes out of that infected women. Classic
-
There are so many awesome deaths in horror movies that it is so hard to choose. Here’s a breif list of some of my favorites.
1. The knife through the girls head in House By The Cemetary.
2. The broken wood in the girls eye in Zombie.
3. The girl puking out her insides in City Of The Living Dead.
4. The scene where all of the mannequins come to…[Read more] -
my favorite kill was in freddy vs jason when jason cuts the guy up bad then bends him in half in bed!!!!!
-
My favorite kill is from The Silence of the Lambs. Hannibal Lecter killing the guards was horrifying and graceful all at once.
-
my favorite kills are those from “Inside” and “Martyrs”…. the one from “inside” is the pregnant woman who try as she might does not last until the morning and eventually…well you know! and the other from “Martyrs” is the girl who is the martyr who dies in such a poetic and gruesome fashion that even shakespeare would be humbled by it…
this…[Read more] -
either when jason folds the guy in half in the bed in Freddy vs. Jason, or when he freezes the chicks’ face and then smashes it.
-
ALL the kills in Hatchet.
Teared apart in Hellraiser.
Capt. Rhodes Death in Day of the dead.
Lawnmower scene in Braindead. -
from jumpstreet,my fav.non-horror death scene would be:The death of marvin in PULP FICTION! classic. Now that being said,my choice for Slasher film death would be when Freddy whipped his own “custom” Power glove to kill the video game dude.does anyone agree?;)
-
i dont think anybody will agree….we all have a favorite and i think they all are different…
-
Doomsday where they cook that guy alive…then eat him…*cringe*
most of the hellraiser killings….creative and gruesome
oh and another fav. bride of chucky when she throws the chamagne bottle on the glass ceiling…funny!
and the movie sucks, but the part on ghost ship, when the line cuts all those people in half….neato!
-
oh and in Death Proof when the 1970 Chevy Nova hits those chicks car and kills all 4 of em and Jungle Julia’s leg flies off! classic! and when he smashes Rose McGowan’s face on the dash ….
-
In the Silent Hill-Movie a Pyramide Head just grabs a girl and than rips her skin and flesh off with his hands. The blood splashes against a church door. That’s one of my very favourites.
-
another few favs.
Whatever jason movie when he puts that chick in the sleeping bag and hangs her over their fire! lol and her boyfriend has to watch. neato
Curb stomp in American History X…crunch….
Hatchet 2 when she cuts the guys “stuff” off then feeds it to a dog! ouch!
-
how about “Storm Warning” when….well lets just say all three deaths are good in that one!!!
-
My Favorite kill- I like the way paris hilton dies in House Of Wax- just because i hated the bitch- A nice pole through that empty skull of hers. Wrong Turn- they are in the tree and one gurl gets a axe to the top of her head and the rest of her body falls to the ground.
-
OMG!!! how did i forget about Paris Hilton in “House of Wax”? that has to be my favorite kill of all time right there!!!!! a decent movie made great by the fact that they kill Paris Hilton!!!
-
so i just recently saw the movie Martyrs and that whole movie is up there on fav. kills. What they did to the chick at the end was just brutal!
-
i love it how she used the double barrel shotgun to kill that whole family!!!! that was sick nasty!!!
-
yes sir. i’m usually not one for gun killings, but that was awsome. door opens then bam! loved it.
-
oh, vindictive women and thier high powered weapons!!!!!
-
that was a crazy little asian woman…. but those people had it coming…
-
well the parents had it coming, but the kids, who had nothing to do with it, got the worst of the damage….especially that girl…….i also dont think the girl was asian…..i think she was very wierd looking French!!!
-
she was deff. some type of asian, deff. not full blooded but deff. some mixture of asian.
how could the kids not know what was going on in that house?? that door she found wasnt locked, they had to know
-
that door was hidden very well in a secret compartment…….the only way Anna (is that her name?) found it was because the blinded girl was screaming…….
-
but if you lived in a house, would u not have eventually noticed it?? that chick was only there a day and she found it.
-
i dont think so…..if that place where the door was were cabnets maybe, but otherwise to the kids it is probably just another wall…..
-
Parents can keep secrets from their kids, especially in their own homes. I agree though, the kids really didn’t deserve getting killed. The girl did look a little Asian though.
-
I love the scene in Terror Firmer where the fat guy is “eaten up” by the escalator.
-
no, it was a cabnit thing…they had to know….are there places in your house u’ve never been?? Doors u’ve never opened?? i think the kids knew…and probly helped…
-
i have never been into the attic of my home…….and i am not curious enought to care what is up there either…..why would the kids help??? this is an underground organization dedicated to torture and killing…..you think a kid (like those two in the movie) could have been able to help their parents and still had those smiles on their faces????…[Read more]
-
“Reanimator”, nuff said, hilariously gross all the way through, and a classic!
-
we’ll maybe they were in “training” to take their place one day, and just as sick as thier parents. the kids would be ok w/ it if they were brought up w/ something like that and never tought any different.
just like people from west virgina…you’d never wanna sleep w/ a family member b/c u know its wrong….they were never tought any diff.…[Read more]

Wayne’s World called they want their joke back…….
-
what???? how is that a Wayne’s World joke???? that is a GRUDGE4life original right there missy!!!!!
-
no sir! watch wyne’s world…they use that joke atleast 3 times!!!
-
i havent even seen Wayne’s World……maybe i am just that funny of a person that i compare to Dana Carvey and Mike Myers!!!!
-
you havent see Waynes’ World??? how old r u??? thought everyone had seen that movie!
-
Ghost Ship, the beginning sequence. It’s beautiful.
-
ive heard of it, but i have never seen it…….not all of us are old like you bunny……
-
hey hey, i’m not that old! i’m only 24! and i turned that just a few months ago!!!!!!
and Wayne’s World came out in like 92! so boooya grandma!
-
92??? please…..plus who are you calling grandma???? you are closer than i am to getting there!!!!!!!!
-
lol, yea it was made in like 92!
and i’m not that old….. ;p
-
arent you already like 20???? that is pretty fricking old woman!!!!!
-
dont be mad b/c i can buy alcohol and u cant. lol and i’m 24 mr. smarty, and thats not old ;p maybe to a kid like u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
if i wanted beer i would ask my roomate to get some……24!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! thats like 100 in kid years……..thanks for calling me smart by the way….
-
Just had a thought of another unnerving favorite kill of mine. It happened in Valentine, 2001, when the killer traps the girl (Denise Richards) in a jacuzzi by putting plexiglass over the top, and drilling holes while she scrambles around under water. It’s pretty awesome, and I like it!
-
as in MR. SMART @$$!!! i dont want to get infracted again ;p
well i hope your roomate is out when u need some! i will laugh! and what r u like 13?? 16??? thats why u like the Jonas Brothers…..lol…its all coming together now.
-
i like the Jonas Brothers???? i didnt know that…..and i dont drink in the first place…….and im 19 thank you very much grandma…….well at least my ass is smarter than u!!!!!!!!!!
-
leave it to a kid to use that comeback. next time ur gonna use “i know u are, but what am i” huh? lol
dont lie, u know u like the jonas brothers. you siad they were ur fav.! lol
and i’m not a grandma…i have no children, therefore they cant have children…so ur ass is not smarter than me…b/c ur not even smarter than me ;p

leave it to a kid to use that comeback. next time ur gonna use “i know u are, but what am i” huh? lol

you dont have any children that you know of….right??? i did say that??? man i must have some sort of selective bullshit amnesia…..plus i already know you arent, but i am though!!!! and that is one cool kid!!!!
-
I had such a hard time following what u just typed…between all the ?????, !!!!!!!!!!!!!, and ……………..
-
Like alot of others who’ve seen that (absolutely bloody terrific) movie Hatchet, the head-from-jaw scene from Hatchet is my favourite kill. I mean I don’t get impressed all that easily, but seeing that shot, I audibly gasped the word “WOW”!. Love it! The sander in the face in that movie was a close second. Hehe.
-
i have a good picture of that sander kill, but i am not able to downlaod it to BD…..if you liked the head-from-jaw scene then you should see the same scene from “Laid to Rest”
-
H2 had such awsome kills!!! fav. the “foot kill”! (thats all i will say for those who havnt seen it!) but its such a great kill! You will know what I’m talking about once u see it!
-
thank you for not sharing bunny….i will seeit in a while….a couple of months….
-
What about black christmas with the son beating his mom with a roller then makeing those gory skin cookies!
-
That awesome kill in High Tension where the poor guy in the car gets killed by a concrete cutter.
It’s not really a kill but still funny:
In Jason Takes Manhattan when the punks are standing around and Jason storms past and kicks the stereo out of the his way. The punks are like “You’re dead meat, slime bag!” while pointing their knifes at him…[Read more] -
you cant beat the skin cookies…..but i am still waiting on a recipe for those from Martha Stewart….
-
Drew Barrymore in Scream, not very gory but really disturbing
-
also a good version of the lost art of the opening scene……Wes Craven knows how to open a movie!!!!
-
deffinitely yess, sets up the mood for the rest of the movie
-
but what happens when that opening scene fails though?????
-
u know the movie will mostly suck
name one movie with a bad opening that turned out to be good
-
just to name a few “Frontiere(s)”, “Final Destination 3″, “1408″, “Insanitarium”, “Vacancy”, “Storm Warning”, “Freddy vs Jason” these are all good movies that had horrible first scenes!!!!
-
I haven’t seen some of those but the ones I did I actually liked the opening scenes hehe
-
which ones???
-
final destination 3 1408 vacancy freddy vs jason
-
I would def have to say my fav kill is in Hatchet with the shovel, Where he lines it up on the guys neck and then foot stomps it and just decapitates the guy!
It’s around the 1 min. mark[Read more]
-
i can see “Freddy vs Jason” and maybe “FD3″, but “Vacancy” was just boring dialogue, and “1408″ was nothing important to the movie!!!!
-
yeah maybe but I don’t know, it didn’t bother me that much
If I should say one movie I really hate was The Village, I hated it so much -
really???? i thought it was a good movie, but really let down when the creatures were not real…..M. Night!!!! how dare you trick us!!!!!
-
oh nooo I was bored out of my mind, as a matter of fact I didn’t watched it till the end
-
do you not like twists in movies??? or is it more of the story that bored you???
-
the whole movie was way too slow
and I found the twists rather predictable -
dont you have any sympathy for the blind?????
-
lol no not at all
-
no wonder you didnt like that movie then!!!!
-
Wow! A Jason Takes Manhattan reference? That’s just awesome…fun flick…and an awesome kill!
-
The ending of Nekromantik 2. Has to be seen to be believed.

wow, if you blow something up people will orgasm over it…that is very sad!

that was joke
i also don’t like ‘blow ups’
i prefer a slow torture killing -
i was not refering to your comment, but taking a stab at the reference you made…
-
in crazies 2010, the main character gets his hand impaled with a steak knife into the ground, and he rips it out (knife still through hand) and stabs a crazie in the throat with the knife through his hand
-
I kinda liked the black xmas the newer one where they bakes cookies out of skin, and freddy vs jason when jason is on fire and he throws his machete at the fat dude and it goes all slow mo and the blood spits out of his mouth
-
my goodness…was that a “Black X-mas” refference???
-
hahahahahahaha!

How About When Samuel L. Jackson Delivers The Bible Line In The Film ‘Pulp Fiction’
Or In ‘Reservoir Dogs’, Mr. Blonde Slashing The Face Of Marvin The Cop Eh?

i like when in the predator movies, they skin the dead guys

……Or Maybe The Part In Where Stuntman Mike Runs Down The Ladies In Death Proof! QUENTIN TARANTINO RULES!

much more betterer nightmare!!! i have never actually seen a Tarantino film that was as good as everyone says it is…

If Thats What You Are Asking…….

i dont see many horror films within that list…he is a good director, but i would be hesitant to even call him a good horror film director without many horror films to his name…

Fine! You Go Watch Your Mickey Mouse And Stop Knocking Off A Revolutionary Man!

what is wrong with you??? i was never dissing Tarantino or even knocking on his success…i was just mentioning how not many of his films are not horror…you cannot call someone a great horror director without them having more than three horror films to their name…

Anyways, My Other Fav. Kills Are:
1. A Woman Gets Her Eye Gouged Out In (Zombie)
2. Clare Is Killed With Plastic Wrapper (Black Christmas)
Or My Favourite: In (Slither), Brenda Explodes!
Anyone Seen The Above Mentioned Films?
-
nope.
-
These All All 70′s 80′s Classic Movies……….Worth A Watch
-
i have seen “Slither” and the remake of “Black Christmas”, but i havent heard of the “Zombie” movie though…
-
Wow! You Have Seen Black Christmas? Thats Cool……..It Was Cool Yea?
And Zombie Was Just Fine………
-
ive heard of most of them(except zombie), but never seen them
-
i liked the remake “Black X-mas” better though…
-
i almost rented one of the black xmases once, but i got salem’s lot instead
-
Awww…..You Have Seen The Remake GRUDGE! Buy The Original! Thats The Best
-
i have both of them…and i think “Black X-mas” is way better then the original by far!!
-
Good To Know………Vice Versa For Me……
-
thats weird…you usually see people in their 30′s or 40′s who grew up with the originals like them better then the remakes not a teenager…is that true for all remakes or just here and there???
-
pretty much
-
Just Here And There………..
-
which remakes do you like better then their original counterparts???
-
The Rob Zombie’s Halloween Ones………I Think Only Those Which I THOROUGHLY Enjoyed!
-
none. i enjoyed most of the remakes, but the originals are still the best
-
Originals Are The Best, Yes! But Sometimes The Remakes Are More Entertaining!
-
For Example: I Saw The Original PSYCHO And I Loved It (Naturally) And Then I Saw The Vince Remake And It Was Totally Down The Drain……
-
where is horrorfan33 when i need him???
-
Things Getting Too Hot?
-
no, i just like to hear one person saying they like remakes every once in a while…horrorfan33 fulfills that need when i need it!!
-

-
EVIL is Enough…….And So Are You
-
eviltbot was the one who said he didnt like remakes, and from my i need someone to reassure me sometimes…
-
i like some remakes, but not as much as the originals
-
Even I Would Like To Quote The Same Thing EVIL Just Said………
-
lets change the subject, im gettiing confused
-
Go Ahead EVIL……..Pick A Topic!
-
how about the topic of the thread?
-
beside the obvious Paris Hilton kill in “House of Wax” what is everybody’s favorite kills???
-
i still say the one in the crazies remake (knife hand)
-
really??? i mean thats a good kill, but there are much better kills then that…
-
yeah, how about…the cork screw one in friday the 13th part 5? or the pencil thing in evil dead?
-
those are better…i just thought you would come up with more creative kills then that…
-
There Are Some People Who Cant………
-
Now I Bet That EVIL Might Refer The Web To Find Out Interesting Kills And Then Post Them Here!
LAME-O!
-
im not you, nightmare
-
this comes from the guy who still hasnt given me an answer as to what his favorite kills are other then Paris Hilton…
-
thats probably the only big-boy movie his mommy lets him see
-
I Would Have To Say All In LAID TO REST & SAW Films…….
-
ok fair enough…but i wont let you get away that easy!! which kills stick out to you as the best from those two movies??
-
From LTR: Chromeskull Puts That Acid Or Whatever It Is In The Guys Ear At The End!!!
From SAW: The Crushing Walls In SAW V……..
-
those werent bad

I Know, EVIL!

CHICAGO Horror Fans, UNITE!!! May 15, 2009 12:08 amDuh, this is an obvious one to join!
-
Man, I dunno…you spend all that time in LA…
Tell you what, FedEx me some In and Out Burger and we’ll call it even! -
Wait, Caustic’s from Chicago? Let’s sit down and have a chat about that infraction (that I totally deserved), bud!
-
wait wait wait danny… this is the CHICAGO group and you’re asking HIM to send YOU food? i think it’s supposed to be the other way around.
-
I’m asking for the only culinary delicacy to come out of California: In and Out Burger. I will gladly ship a delicious sampling of Chicago’s finest foods in return!
-
I don’t even remember giving you an infraction Danny, but I’m sure I enjoyed it.
Nah, I hate giving them out.
And yep, I’m from Chicago, even though I’m in Westchester now, which proudly boasts a cemetery population of two stiffs to every actual living resident.
-
I don’t live in Chicago, but Danny always told me that I’m close enough that I’m considered to be considered Chicago.
-
Fuck the Celtics, man.
-
That was one of the best series in NBA playoff history. It was good to see the Bulls back in the playoffs, but I’m glad the Celtics pulled it off.
-
Caustic: It was actually just a warning. I’ll have to start earning my next infraction!
Dribbz: I stand by my statement. Iowa might as well be a Chicago suburb. Also, there is no honor lost in losing to the Celtics with what, 6 total overtime periods?
-
Northside of Chicago..in a neighbourhood called Wicker Park.
-
I’m in Logan Square, Wooden. We should argue about which one of our hip neighborhoods is cooler! Just kidding, the winner would be “Bucktown”.
-
I have Reckless Records…what do you got Logan Square?
-
Are you fuckers all Cubs fans too? I hate Cubs fans. Mostly the ones that live in the town I live in.
-
White Sox! F the Cubs.
-
Dear Wooden Heart,
Would you like to be my new best friend? I, too, am a lonely northside Sox fan.
Together in championships, Danny!
(I have everyone that works and/or buys records from Reckless Records. You know none of the WP hipsters spend money there!)
-
Nope, no Cubs fan here. Die hard Sox fan.
I was at two playoff games during the 2005 season and had my wedding reception in the Stadium Club at Comiskey that same year.
-
Good. I’m not a baseball fan at all, so I really don’t care. There are just too many people here that love the Cubs and it’s annoying. I love it when they lose.
-
Sweet home Chicago. They’re filming the NOES remake in my town right now.
-
Anyone wanna go see The Yolks this weekend? KillRobot, I’m looking at you…
-
Just joined today
Been looking for a Chicago based group for the longest time. Thanx BD! -
Danny!, where and when? Also, basketball Sunday? Everyone should have work off Monday so maybe we can have the TKO BBQ BBALL JAM 2K9
-
KillRobot: This Saturday at Ronny’s (2101 N. California, Chicago, IL 60647). 10pm. Probably $6. For more info, head to [Read more]

I joined this group before I knew it was a bunch of Sox fans…

I’m not a sox fan so you arent alone Three. You in Chicago? If so let me know so I can get you some free tickets to the premiere of Amoral Uprising in July. The whole team will be there and it’s going to be a blast so get back to me when you can.
-
I’m in Rkfd
-
Malicious, is Amoral the production that started the Parents that Suck Debate?
If so, it has added appeal.
-
I guess this is where all the cool kids hang out. I’m in the same company as Threeonameathook. Rockford Icehogs all the way.:)
-
Nah, that guy was from something we were trying to do towards the full feature thank god. AU is a prologue we made to help raise funds for the bigger movie while also having a product we can promote and give to the fans while we raise the big money. But the guy we replaced the douchebag with is friggin brilliant on camera so we’re confident that…[Read more]

Glad there’s a group specifically for Chicagoans. Just joined recently. Oh, and I’m a Cubs fan so please don’t kill me.

I am very glad to see there are so many horror movie fans from Chicago!!!! I love that city and I love it even more… but I am indifferent when it comes to sports.
-
Whoever posted that Chris Farley picture, THANKS!

West Logan Square = Humbold Park, or some other neighborhood. That Motel Bar situation seemed like it would’ve been fun. I didn’t have enough disposable income and none of my friends were working there that night, though.
-
I live about a half hour from Notre Dame University and a little over two and a half hours, give or take, from Chicago (a little town called Goshen, Indiana where Steve Buscemi filmed the Liv Tyler & Casey Affleck vehicle ‘Lonesome Jim’). It’s funny how the part of Northern Indiana where I hang my hat is actually closer to Chicago (and also…[Read more]

Humboldt is actually changing. New homes are being built around there. I understand how people can be cautious about going there. The gangs aren’t all gone from the area. Also kreepy, good name by the way, do they show horror flicks often at this bar? If they did, that would be cool. Based on the hype you’re giving it, I would still check it out though.
-
So I just bought a condo in Logan Square. Looks like I’ll be holding up in Chicago…forever. Who wants to come to the housewarming? Presents required.
-
Who’s going to ComicCon / Wizard World this weekend?
-
Who’s going to see Psycho in the park tonight?

At midnight on Sept 24th, Music Box Theatre is having a free showing of Paranormal Activity. For more info, check out the Music Box website: To get in, you’ll have to RSVP online:

Slasher Fans May 14, 2009 2:58 pmFreddy, Jason, Michael, Angela. All great killers from movies started decades ago. There have been a few since but I think it’s about time we had a new slasher franchise that will continue for years to come.

Classic Horror Franchise Fans May 14, 2009 10:18 amAnyone else cautiously excited for the NOES remake? (Or is it a reboot? What’s the correct terminology?)
-
honestly the NOES franchise was starting to get pretty old/lame/cheesy/wtv… even if the reboot doesn’t live up to the original series at least we can count on it being different.
-
I actually am excited for the NOES remake. too bad its a year away.
-
At this point I could care less what the movie is about. I just want to see another Freddy movie. Still a little ticked about no Robert Englund. ~le sigh~
-
I’m just happy there’s another Freddy film too. Can’t wait to see it. Even the dodgy ones like Freddy’s Revenge and Freddy Vs Jason I enjoyed because it’s Freddy! Hope it’s a good one though.
-
The classics are the best. We will never see Horror films like the golden oldies , Halloween, NOES and F13 ever again.
-
El Terror,
I am with you I love all the movies shit I even loved freddy vs jason ha ha ha
-
The NOES remake is actually looking pretty promising. They got the casting right and they are supposedly keeping the comedy out or to a minimum. The whole Freddy concept is interesting, so hopefully they will be able to make something of it.
-
Anyone like the Sleepaway Camp movies? Just bought the box set and thought the first movie was fantastic.
-
Waiting…
-
I like the first but the rest weren’t too great..
-
I haven’t seen Return to Sleepaway Camp yet but I enjoyed the others. They were obviously very cheaply made but they’re still quite good films. Angela is mental.
-
I saw Retun to Sleepaway Camp. It was actually really good, I was shocked.
-
I gotta check it out if it’s as good as you say i’ll be taking that trip to movie stop soon. Yea, Angela was mental…the first tranny slasher…that say’s it all.
-
Anybody else counting down the days that Friday the 13th ( re-imagning can’t say remake) hits blu-ray…I’m marking the days off the calender for this one.
-
the Re-Animator films are some of the best and Jeffery Combs is up there with Bruce Campbell. havent seen return to sleepaway yet and the friday remake I like some parts but at the same time I hate a lot of it.
-
i think that for the new friday the 13th they could have done a little more with the story line instead of doing pretty much the same thing as the fist one but i still love the special effects.
-
Unfortunatly I am not looking foward to this remake or re-imaging or whatever you want to call it. It seems all the horror classics are being remade. I’m so tired of that. I would love to see freddy back on the big screen but not in a remake. How about just a new entry into the series? As long as Robert England is Freddy and not some joke like…[Read more]
-
It may be okay, but no one can beat Robert Englund as Freddy.
-
I am definitely excited for it. I have always like Platinum Dunes and what they do. I think every single one of their movies has been great. The Unborn and The Hitcher weren’t the best, but overall they are pretty good. NOES as a series was getting pretty tired and boring, so I think that this movie, even if it isnt the best, will be a breath of…[Read more]

I am excited to see it. I am always cautious about remakes/reboots, but after Friday the 13th I am a little more at ease, it wasn’t the best remake, but it was good. Mr. Barlow, The Sleep Away Camp trilogy is awesome. I wish that 4th one would have been made. I am waiting for a remake of that series.
-
I’m all for the NOES remake. They have a decent cast and Freddy looks the business. Even if it doesn’t live up it will sure be a lot better than Part 6, probably even part 5.
-
I think “remaking” the film without Wes Craven and Robert Englund is a mistake, but the casting of Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy is pretty awesome. It bothers me that in the preview, Freddy is denying any wrong doing against the kids when he’s confronted by the parents. He’s supposed to have been a psychopathic serial killer, the “Springwood…[Read more]

Oh and I really liked Parts 5 and 6
-
jackie earle haley as freddy is pretty awesome! the way he looks these days fits ( no offense intended ).kelly leak-freddy krueger.as far as him being wimpy & remorseful, serial killers are good at faking that-the mask of sanity.ted bundy cried like a baby when they executed him but felt nothing about raping, torturing & killing his victims.
-
good point
-
already got money put back.
-
I enjoyed it.
-
jeez i need to watch the originals lol i always watch the remakes lol
-
I enjoyed the remake…but I’d still prefer Robert over Jackie any day…
-
i loved the remake it was a good movie

Upsetting cuz Leatherfaces mask looked like rubber. It had soooo much potential because the story was great and there were so many excited suspense sequences but everytime I saw Leatherface I thought it look like a Halloween mask. All the money they had to make that movie and they fuck up the monsters design,,,
yes, the mask was really sad to look at. the look of the film overall was amazing! The filters and colors of the films was so classic! The score was so well done and Alexandria Daddario was really great! But, some of the kills and plot holes kind of left me a little uneasy.
I haven’t seen it yet, I’m looking forward to it, is it good?
like i said, it’s cute. haha i liked it and i’d buy it. it’s really fun to watch in the theatre!
haha, thx, I’m from Argentina, u know, so it hasn’t been released here yet. But I’ll definitely go and see it when it is.
