compared to American horror the Japanese (read Asian) horror industry doesnt rely solely on gratuitous violence to survive, but instead relies on pure fear and witty directing, writing, and acting to entertain the masses…

Havent seen it yet. Only caught the first one by accident on film 4 the other night but will be sure to check them both out. Love the group by the way, must admit I’m surprised in the few numbers, we will have to try and convert some of these western heathens.

Finally got round to watching ‘Tale of two sisters’ i’m still trying to figure out the ending but for me thats part of the attraction of asian cinema. Im often left wondering was something lost in translation or is the director just fucking with me, either way im left with food for thought.

I saw Audition and Suicide Circle.

I really liked suicide circle, but after the movie i was so confused, lol. After i reflected on the film, I looked up other people’s thoughts on the film it and it all came together.
