METALHEADS UNITE 3 years, 1 month agoAnyone that’s into black metal have any good recommendations for non-National-Socialist (i.e. non-white supremacist) bands? I already know of: Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone, Emperor, Immortal, Bathory, Satyricon, etc., and I tend to prefer the older, first- and second-wave stuff.
I’ve also read there’s N.S. controversy involving Varg from Burzum…[Read more]

Nightmare on Elm st. Fans 3 years, 6 months agoLet me know what your favorite Nightmare on Elm street film is and why. I’m curious to see the outcome and votes on this topic:)
-
The original is my favourite because it introduces Freddy, the kills are by far the best and it’s probably the scariest. Out of the other films I prefer Dream Warriors and New Nightmare but they’re all close to my heart!
How about you? -
Indeed. Good choices. I adore the 1st one aswell because of the way they introduced Freddy. He was much scarrier and they did well caputring how creepy he is. New nightmare is creative and made fred a lot more creepy and dark
-
the original,no explanation neccessary.part 3 for all the nice kills and the worm.fvj for the sweet fight scenes and story.
-
i would have to agree with pac on this…..the first was the best hands down!!!
-
i actually like part 2…
-
i am not going to lie…..the second part was just not as good….the first was epic, but then the second was a let down compared to the first….
-
agreed but the pool party was awesome.
-
i dont even agree with that…..i thought it was disappointing….how many kills from that 2 or 3???
-
it was a nice way to show freddy as completely evil.it went friday the 13th.:pirate:
-
we already knew that though……he killed children before teenagers!!!!
-
while thats evil he killed them one at a time.this time he slaughtered them.its a very drastic change.
-
i would believe that if he had the chance he would always spree the life out of teenagers, but he is stuck one at a time in dream land…..
-
it was still nice to see it.
-
i would love to see that too, but the dream land kills are what makes Freddy the legend that he is!!!!
-
i agree.once only to see it but i like the dream kills best.:pirate:
-
Nightmare 1…the film that started it all. i also love 3, and the New Nightmare…two words…Heather Langenkamp!
-
the original has to be the best becuase it started it all and it was the scariest one, after that the rest were comedys.
-
yeah right, part 2 and new nightmare were far from comedies.
-
Dont get me wrong i love the first, and it IS the best… but i like the second one, Freddy’s revenge. Theres a pool party scene where Freddy enters the real world. He shows a god-like complexity when he raises his arms and says “You’re all my children now”. Iconic.
http://scr3am4ever.webs.com/
-
New Nightmare tried to be scary but didnt manage it
-
the 1st is the best.i like the others but the original movie was a fresh take on the slasher at the time.freddy was the first one that was already dead.
-
Deff. the original is my fav. I still get goosebumps when we first meet freddy in the dark alley way and he does that arm stretch thing and scratches the wall. I can’t watch in the dark haha.
-
The original. Awesome kills, introduces the killer we call Freddy, and it is the scariest in the franchise.
-
1,3,4 and Freddy vs Jason if you count it
-
orignal(number 1) cause just when u first saw this one it was fucking scary and after number one they where stilll good but not the same creepyness u get!
-
the first is by far the best. i live and breathe this movie. its scary as all hell. 1,3,7(the ones that wes craven directed/wrote) are all scary, the rest have that comedic element that i hate. but the first one is by FAR the best

Horror Collectors 4 years, 1 month agoOk, ok…Groups aren’t for geeks.:x
Either that or we’re all fucking geeks.:?
Probably the latter.:(-
we’re all geeks. :beerchug:
-
What the fuck are you talking about!:x
I’m no fuckin’ geek! You’re a fuckin’ geek, Fabian!:flipoff:
-
Feel free to post pics of you’re collection here if you want. As if we don’t have enough collection pics elsewhere.
Oh, well.
BTW I was just joking Fabian!
Thanks for joining my geeky group!
-
:p……..
-
All of my horror collectibles are still in boxes at my mom’s house LOL. I need to get organized here!
-
Yeah you do, MrDisgusting!
We’d all love to see pics when you do pick ‘em up.
-
Fuck it, I’ll join. No bullshit, I have most of my collectibles in a box that has a shipping label for an organ transplant. I didn’t even notice it until about a year after I had it. I just thought it was perfect.
I’ll post a pic later.
-
I guess My “no direction collection” and I should join up. I got a few things and I hope to get more in the future. If you need to see pics you can see them in the April Collections thread that traj started.
-
Sounds like it be a Bob Dylan collection, pumkinheadfan.:he:
-
Super excited about finally getting an original Evil Dead quad!(see pic)
Glad to see new members as well.
-
I have a shitload of figures and posters, but they’re mostly all in my closet.
No room!!!
-
Working on getting some pics of my chainsaw collection for all of you.
-
Cool! Glad to see some new faces!
-
I love collecting horror stuff…comics, action figures, posters, movies. You know its bad when you have 5 different copies of the same movie.
“but this one had an additional scene thats not in the other 5.” lol -
haha yes! I am exactly the same, must get the director cuts
-
Once people stop acting stuck up, and realize it’s okay to buy toys every now and then… I think they’ll get more out of life.:he:
-
I don’t know. Collecting figures and stuff isn’t for everyone and I understand that. On the other hand, people who look down on it can sit on a flag pole as far as I’m concerned.
-
:he::he:
-
I love collecting figures. I do go through waves however. Plus it can get VERY expensive if you get obsessed about it like a have in the past. I usually like to just spend a little more and get the truly amazing collectible about every 6 months, rather than buying every $16.00 figure that comes to my local comic book shop.
-
I love collecting horror stuff. My problem is I have no where to put it. I have several autographed posters and a few toys I have on my desk at work.
-
I try not to spend too much money, I do let myself buy one thing a month if its under $10. Mostly its Freddy stuff pens, dolls, action figures, pretty much anything that has his face on it. My newest one is the glove belt buckle, I really want the shoes but I can’t afford them.
-
I have 3 authentic jason masks. part 3, 5. and a remake.
-
I also collect mostly Freddy stuff. I don’t buy things very often as I don’t have much space. I’ve got Freddy and Leatherface headknockers, a few screengrabs, a few action figures, Hellraiser film cells and the Nightmare on Elm Street board game! (Never played it though)
-
I collect Horror Dvds and to a lesser extent I collect masks and horror magizines as well.
lately I’ve been trying to get my horror and films on Blu-Ray. I’m trying to get a good collection Of Blu-ray Elegant Collections(the first I bought tonight was the 89 Batman..I am picking up Poltergeist and the Matrix soon)
-
check out some old and new picks from my collection over at the Ultimate collections thread.:D
-
Hey acp35 check out amazon.com for some horror on blu-ray they have The Thing for $16 bucks and Hellraiser, Dawn of the Dead and Halloween (original) for about $12.
-
Thank’s I’ll check that out. I’m a blu-ray fan. Especially love HDaudio.
-
I really need to get the HD audio stuff to really appreciate the blu ray experience. I bet Predator would be awesome.
-
I love to collect slasher films on dvd, especially rare, OOP ones. For instance, I have Madman and House on Sorority Row on dvd and I just recently ordered Slumber Party Massacre from Amazon.
-
On the subject of blu ray, it REALLY pisses me off that on some of the older titles, like The Thing, the special features are pretty much non-existent. I bought The Thing on blu ray, sold my dvd copy which had a great, looong documentary, deleted scenes etc, only to find out that it’s not on the blu ray. Well, it is but it’s a…[Read more]

i collect horror dvd`s and also i have a few horror figures

I’ve posted this in the swap but I’m desperate. I’m looking high and low for a Nightmare Spawn figure from series 31. I have paypal cash and stuff to trade. If anyone has one and wouldn’t mind selling or trading it, or if anyone knows where I can get one besides the ludicrously priced $125 one that comes up in a google search, please let me…[Read more]

Just added some new posters to my list in the horror swap. Some masks too. Freddy, Leatherface and more. Check ‘em out!
Prices are negotiable.;)
-
Disregard the 2nd post beneath this. I finally found a Nightmare Spawn figure!
-
I just ordered a rare slasher film called Curtains from a website that sells what are supposed to be quality DVD-Rs.
-
I know someone needs money!
You know I need NECA Devil’s Rejects figgers!
Let us work out this atrocity!
PM me at once!
-
Traj if I knew back in March that you needed Devil’s Rejects the Horrorhound convention I go to they sell them all other the place. Almost ever vendor has DR figures. I want a small Alien figure that I can fit on my desk.
-
I have a small alien figure you can fit on your desk. It’s a SDCC Exclusive Alien Kubrick limited to 2000…
PM me and you can get prices for me. I’ll send you the money and the Alien will just be my way of saying thanks if you want it.
Just PM me.
-
I love to collect dvds. I just added Clownhouse & Slumber Party Massacre to my collection.
-
Im mostly an Elm Street fan, so that what I collect. An entire room of our house is dedicated to the series. We do have other “horror related” collectables. But 90% Elm Street. Once I get get pics re-taken, I’ll post them.

Mezco’s Livinfg Dead Doll H2 Michael Myers
-
The Michael looks awesome but for obvious reasons I don’t think he will come out looking that good. Here’s Mezco’s planned 12 inch Freddy…

Looks like Mezco is kicking ass right now. Better watch out for Amok Time Monstarz! -
Just got the slasher film Curtains on DVD-R in the mail.
-
I have a rather large horror collection update in the “Ultimate collections” thread mostly involving Hellspawn/Spawn stuff. Pics included! Would love feedback from everyone.
-
I scored all of the Devil’s Rejects figures so all you people who didn’t give a shit that I was looking for them before can continue to not give a shit.
I’m not that way and will gladly do anything I can to help a fellow horror collector find his/her wants.
-
Thanks everyone for making this the biggest group on the site!
Most of you still need to go and post pics of your stuff in the collectables forum!
36 members and we’ve seen less than 10 collections.:(
I guess I’m not thinking about everyone who joined because they collect dvds.
-
I gave a shit Taj, just didn’t have any extras
-
Show off your DVD collections!!
-
i dont know if this counts, but i have a DVD collection of mostly modern horor films that is about 150 and counting…
-
Of course it counts!
C’mon! I know there are more horror collectors here!
-
I joined cause I like collecting whatever I can find. I don’t really have anything super rare (probably the closest is my LE tin of Evil Dead II, only 50000 made in the entire world) but I have a shit ton of movies, as well as some figures and posters.
-
Just picked up the movie books for NOES 1,2,3,4,5,New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason…The book for part 3 is freaking weird, nothing like the movie.
also got the Nancy sitting in tub action figure, they had it under horror action figure instead of NOES on ebay…got it for like $7..whoo hoo -
I actually have the book for Part 3 as well, it is a lot different than the movie. Hell, I haven’t even seen my copy of it in forever, I should see if I can find it around here somewhere.
-
I got all of the books off of Amazon for really cheap, like 4 bucks for each. I am looking for the Freddy’s Dead one but can’t find any info if it even exists.
The things I do for my NOES collection :p
-
Just added Mezco’s Styleized Leatherface to the family!
-
I’m proud to say when most people come into my house for the first time they say that it’s like a horror museum, statues, toys, framed posters, autographs all over the home. I know I’m a geek, I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’m surrounded by what I love!
-
Just added a bunch of pics of my DVD collection, some of my toys & other stuff onto my profile if anyone’s interested.
-
Added:
18″ NECA remake Jason Voorhees
Mezco Living Dead Doll remake Jason Voorhees
NECA Sam from Trick R Treat
Zombie Spider-Man -
Just because everybody here likes horror dosen’t mean we are fuckin geeks!
-
I have the nightmare on elmstreet collectors box set!
-
Horror collector here, geek also.
-
I will say it loud and proud…I AM A GEEK!
HAHA
latest pick ups are Mecco (sp?) NOES Nancy in the tub and a Tall Man figure (thank you devil josh).
I have been really bad on getting new stuff…damn recession
-
I’m off to Collectormania in London on 28th November so I’m planning on picking up a few items while I’m there.
The main reason why I’m going though is to meet Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp & john Saxon! I’m planning on getting a poster signed by all 3 and I will frame it and hang it on my wall with pride! -
^^^ you luck sonofabitch!
show pics when you get back..I NEED TO SEE
-
Didn’t buy much in the end apart from a few DVDs. I’m really happy with my signed poster though! There’s a few pics on my profile. John Saxon wasn’t there in the end.

CHICAGO Horror Fans, UNITE!!! 4 years, 1 month agoDuh, this is an obvious one to join!
-
Man, I dunno…you spend all that time in LA…
Tell you what, FedEx me some In and Out Burger and we’ll call it even! -
Wait, Caustic’s from Chicago? Let’s sit down and have a chat about that infraction (that I totally deserved), bud!
-
wait wait wait danny… this is the CHICAGO group and you’re asking HIM to send YOU food? i think it’s supposed to be the other way around.
-
I’m asking for the only culinary delicacy to come out of California: In and Out Burger. I will gladly ship a delicious sampling of Chicago’s finest foods in return!
-
I don’t even remember giving you an infraction Danny, but I’m sure I enjoyed it.
Nah, I hate giving them out.
And yep, I’m from Chicago, even though I’m in Westchester now, which proudly boasts a cemetery population of two stiffs to every actual living resident.
-
I don’t live in Chicago, but Danny always told me that I’m close enough that I’m considered to be considered Chicago.
-
Fuck the Celtics, man.
-
That was one of the best series in NBA playoff history. It was good to see the Bulls back in the playoffs, but I’m glad the Celtics pulled it off.
-
Caustic: It was actually just a warning. I’ll have to start earning my next infraction!
Dribbz: I stand by my statement. Iowa might as well be a Chicago suburb. Also, there is no honor lost in losing to the Celtics with what, 6 total overtime periods?
-
Northside of Chicago..in a neighbourhood called Wicker Park.
-
I’m in Logan Square, Wooden. We should argue about which one of our hip neighborhoods is cooler! Just kidding, the winner would be “Bucktown”.
-
I have Reckless Records…what do you got Logan Square?
-
Are you fuckers all Cubs fans too? I hate Cubs fans. Mostly the ones that live in the town I live in.
-
White Sox! F the Cubs.
-
Dear Wooden Heart,
Would you like to be my new best friend? I, too, am a lonely northside Sox fan.
Together in championships, Danny!
(I have everyone that works and/or buys records from Reckless Records. You know none of the WP hipsters spend money there!)
-
Nope, no Cubs fan here. Die hard Sox fan.
I was at two playoff games during the 2005 season and had my wedding reception in the Stadium Club at Comiskey that same year.
-
Good. I’m not a baseball fan at all, so I really don’t care. There are just too many people here that love the Cubs and it’s annoying. I love it when they lose.
-
Sweet home Chicago. They’re filming the NOES remake in my town right now.
-
Anyone wanna go see The Yolks this weekend? KillRobot, I’m looking at you…

Just joined today
Been looking for a Chicago based group for the longest time. Thanx BD! -
Danny!, where and when? Also, basketball Sunday? Everyone should have work off Monday so maybe we can have the TKO BBQ BBALL JAM 2K9

KillRobot: This Saturday at Ronny’s (2101 N. California, Chicago, IL 60647). 10pm. Probably $6. For more info, head to http://www.myspace.com/theyolks

I joined this group before I knew it was a bunch of Sox fans…
:
-
I’m not a sox fan so you arent alone Three. You in Chicago? If so let me know so I can get you some free tickets to the premiere of Amoral Uprising in July. The whole team will be there and it’s going to be a blast so get back to me when you can.
-
I’m in Rkfd
-
Malicious, is Amoral the production that started the Parents that Suck Debate?
If so, it has added appeal.
-
I guess this is where all the cool kids hang out. I’m in the same company as Threeonameathook. Rockford Icehogs all the way.:)

Nah, that guy was from something we were trying to do towards the full feature thank god. West Logan Square = Humbold Park, or some other neighborhood. That Motel Bar situation seemed like it would’ve been fun. I didn’t have enough disposable income and none of my friends were working there that night, though.
-
I live about a half hour from Notre Dame University and a little over two and a half hours, give or take, from Chicago (a little town called Goshen, Indiana where Steve Buscemi filmed the Liv Tyler & Casey Affleck vehicle ‘Lonesome Jim’). It’s funny how the part of Northern Indiana where I hang my hat is actually closer to Chicago (and also…[Read more]

Humboldt is actually changing. New homes are being built around there. I understand how people can be cautious about going there. The gangs aren’t all gone from the area. Also kreepy, good name by the way, do they show horror flicks often at this bar? If they did, that would be cool. Based on the hype you’re giving it, I would still check it out though.
-
So I just bought a condo in Logan Square. Looks like I’ll be holding up in Chicago…forever. Who wants to come to the housewarming? Presents required.

Who’s going to ComicCon / Wizard World this weekend?
