George A. Romero October 24, 2012 7:35 amJust a small update, seen as no one has commented in here for 2 years(!)
Managed to secure the Australian 2 disc collectors edition of Day of the Dead…and must say that it is shit-hot!!! The transfer and sound are excellent, and the extras are substantial too.Another (niggley) reason for purchase, aside from what has already been mentioned,is that…[Read more] -

Halloween 3 Season of the Witch Appreciation July 20, 2011 12:55 amI was watching Carpenter’s “Christine” today, and there were times when the music just made me think of Halloween III. I know a lot of Carpenter’s music has the same kinda vibe to it, but there’s something about the music in H3 that definitely works, even if it isn’t on the same level or reputation as the original film’s theme.
Hell, this…[Read more]

The Basterds March 20, 2010 8:44 amHOLY SHIT…. This was my favorite movie of 09 in a landslide victory for me. Just awesome. Great cast. I thought Pitt would ruin it but he nailed his part well. Christoph Waltz was just epic in this movie. The Bear Jew was probably the funniest thing in this movie as far as comedy goes. And how they totally casted Adolf as a whiny little bitch.…[Read more]

Halloween 3 Season of the Witch Appreciation March 17, 2010 8:31 pmthe killer halloween masks
-
i’ve always liked this movie regardless of the fact michael myers isn’t in it.it was their intention to make different halloween related movies since myers was dead.as we know that didn’t happen.i think the idea of the killer masks is cool and original.
-
Great flick. My 2nd favorite of the series.
Has such a great Halloween (as in the holiday) vibe to it.Somebody needs to make us some “HIII Fiends” sigs.
-
I personally really enjoyed this movie. Found it especially funny that Dick Warlock played the lead drone. Hilarious. But it was a good movie. I felt that it actually explained the concept of the Thorn (Thurisaz) curse of the Michael films but in an indirect way.
-
its cool how tom atkins will be in h3d.
-
Great film, the last scary one in the series!
-
This is one of my favourite 80′s horrors. I like how they took the series in a different direction. It had a really creepy feel to it and the score was brilliant.
-
I have to admit,it grew on me,when i first saw it,Hated it,and and now I like it
Go Figure -
Great flick that’s underrated that’s why I made this group lol.
-
I am so happy this group exists.
If you abandon the ties to the franchise, it views like a really cool 80s movie of the sort I’m assuming most of us grew up on.
Besides, everyone knows that druid robots want to kill children and OF COURSE they would use lethal Halloween masks (what?) to do it.
Despite its absolute silliness, this one…[Read more]

George A. Romero February 4, 2010 11:37 amPersonally I cant wait to see this when it comes out. Im a sucker for a zombie movie
-
I cannot wait to see it! I thought after the earlier classics that “Land” was wonderful and well thought out. I enjoyed “Diary” despite some minor quibbles. I expect “Survival” to lead into an even greater dark direction!
-
really looking forward to it.
-
all is well!-pretty weird how it’s straight to dvd here in the U.K though..!
-
I actually like Survival. It’s not my favorite of the series but it really seemed like Romero wanted to have fun with the zombies again, like Dawn of the Dead, which it reminded me of.

WronG TurN Series September 25, 2009 1:37 amDo u like the wrong turn movies? i do i love em..1st was Awesome,2nd was pretty badass too,it actually has a lil more re-watch value to it then the first, and i cant wait to see the 3rd
-
I can’t wait for #3 to come out.
-
I gotta say I did find these films very fun.
-
I’ve joined this group more so because I really enjoyed the second film. If the third is going to follow in a similar vain, and maybe even top the earlier entry, then I’ll be happy as pig in shit! ‘Wrong Turn 2′ fucking rocked, and I’m hoping ‘Wrong Turn 3′ will rock even harder! But I have to be honest, I absolutely hated the first film.
-
i loved the first, and loved the second even more, & i have watched 2 more then 1 so yeah, and i also hope 3 kicks ass..
-
Well!, just watched wrong turn 3 earlier, and while it was an ok, and fun film to watch it had Nothing! on 1 Or 2….
-
I liked em all but the 3rd

I just watched the third and it was the best one yet!
-

I loved the 2nd one, not so much the 1st one, and wants to see the 3rd one
-

-
well it did not have much going on in it
-
I love the first one!
the 2nd one was awesome too, more gore i reckon.
i don’t like the 3rd one though…found it kinda boring :/ -
i liked all three 2nd was my favorite then 3 and then the first one

This is one of my favorite vamp films, the cast, the story everything about it. And it gave me my obsession with vampires from a young age. I don’t think it gets the credit it deserves. Thought the sequel sucked!!

Eli Roth Fans July 20, 2009 6:06 pmSo what’s your favorite? Cabin Fever? Hostel? Hostel Part II?
It’s tough for me to choose a favorite but I’ll go with Hostel Part II.
-
Agreed. ‘Hostel: Part II’ is Eli Roth’s most accomplished film so far. I’m looking forward to ‘Thanksgiving’.
-
The first Hostel’s my favorite of the bunch but they all have their own qualities that make them great. I do agree with the consensus that Hostel: Part II is his most mature film to date and does show that he’s growing as a film maker and Cabin Fever is a very fun Evil Dead style gore fest.
-
‘Cabin Fever’ was a competent debut and very entertaining. ‘Hostel’ was an even better follow up, with ‘Hostel: Part II’ being Eli Roth’s best work so far. He’s still honing his skills as a filmmaker, but it is evident film by film, that he is becoming a better director with each one. They’ve all been good so far, and in the near future he will…[Read more]

Cabin Fever
. -
Hostel II for sure. I was on the edge of my seat. It was super bloody and sadistic. I loved the scene where Heather Matarazzo was hanging by her feet naked and was sliced up and bled to death while another woman bathed in her blood!
-
My favorite Eli Roth movie is definitely ‘HOSTEL Part II’ – as a girl I can say there is nothing misogynistic about this movie (as many critics have said)! Eli Roth has created one of the best final girls ever seen on screen! Just awesome! And Cabin Fever is a great homage to ‘night of the living dead’ and ‘Evil Dead’, silent and creepy like the virus!
-
cabin fever
-
favourite has to be hostel part 1.
i thought cabin fever was pretty cool too – the bath scene..CRINGE.
but the only thing i have to say about him…Peaches Geldof? Really?! -
I would have to choose ‘Hostel’, though ‘Hostel II’ was more deliciously bloody.
I did dig ‘Cabin Fever’ too but not enough blood and gore for me. -
Hostel. One of my favorite flicks of all time.
-
cabin fever was shown as a “secret”show in texas at an old abandoned haunted insane asylum, projected on the wall, the audence did not know what was going to play, but i think…..
they could have mixed wrong turn 1 and cabin fever into the same movie, that would have been good, just take out all the cheeze from wt1 add the good parts to cabin…[Read more] -

love angel heart.
dont have any feelings about the remake good or bad.
if they do it, i hope they dont just do a scene for scene redo.
wont replace the original as one of my favs.
