Jaws fans July 31, 2009 7:09 pmi think everything about it really makes it the perfect blockbuster. It’s intense, has great characters, great story and the shark is iconic.
-
GREAT DATE MOVIE!!!
-
I agree with that.
-
This is my favorite horror movie, I had seen this back in the early 80′s, and it had such an affect on me and our swimming pool when I was a kid:lol:
Jaws is a great date movie, it is tastefully gory in some scenes, the score is timeless. The humor is clever but doesn’t take over the movie. -
Jaws is one of the first movies I remember watching as a child.
This movie is near perfection. John Williams’ score is one of the most iconic pieces of music in movie history. Add to the mix a truly memorable cast, terrifying scares and a giant shark and you have a classic film, a blockbuster in the true sense of the word that still runs rings…[Read more] -
This is the movie that got me into horror. I still watch it everytime they show it on tv.
-
Only a complete cunt would not like this movie.
-
Simply put, Jaws was(still is) nothing short of incredible.
-
it was a phenomenon.everyone including myself was afraid to swim at the beach for a few years.when a movie alters the behavior of the masses you know it’s good !!
-
not trying to be tough but this is the only movie to truly, truly scare me.and thats why, people like to be scared.:D

I love ‘The Wolfman’, ‘An American Werewolf in London’, ‘Dog Soldiers’, and I like ‘Wolf’. I’m about to get around to seeing ‘The Howling’ again sometime soon, as I haven’t seen it in absolutely ages. Despite not liking the first ‘Underworld’ too much, to my surprise I’ve enjoyed the last two, which were both pretty good. The last one being the…[Read more]

-

-
My Name is Bruce and Mindwarp
-
No movie will beat the Evil Dead trilogy. I was watchin The Love Bug yesterday in french and he was good, it was pure Bruce, maybe because of the dubb. Even if he didnt have a big part i taught Congo was a good movie too
-
My name is Bruce is my pick.
-
a close second.. can’t wait for the sequel! And rocked. I’ve been scouring the town for that and still haven’t managed to turn a copy up.. haven’t searched the interwebs for it either, though.[Read more]

I watched the other day and all I could think about was him ing it up behind the scenes.
Bubba Ho-Tep – Damn straight, Dish Dog!
Oh, and if you’re in the mood for some 90′s Gary Cole Mullet with a little Bruce on the side, don’t forget to watch on Chiller during the day.[Read more]

Not a movie… but he did some voice over work for Seth Green’s show ROBOT CHICKEN that was pretty entertaining! “Hello I’m Bruce Campbell and every morning I like to polish my morning wood”.

My Name Is Bruce

Maniac Cop. Love that movie!! Also The Man With The Screaming Brain. It’s just awful, but I can’t help it!:he:

My favorite would have to be My Name is Bruce. For any fan its a fucking classic!

All of my horror collectibles are still in boxes at my mom’s house LOL. I need to get organized here!
-
Yeah you do, MrDisgusting!
We’d all love to see pics when you do pick ‘em up.
-
Fuck it, I’ll join. No bullshit, I have most of my collectibles in a box that has a shipping label for an organ transplant. I didn’t even notice it until about a year after I had it. I just thought it was perfect.
I’ll post a pic later.
-
I guess My “no direction collection” and I should join up. I got a few things and I hope to get more in the future. If you need to see pics you can see them in the April Collections thread that traj started.
-
Sounds like it be a Bob Dylan collection, pumkinheadfan.:he:
-
Super excited about finally getting an original Evil Dead quad!(see pic)
Glad to see new members as well.
-
I have a shitload of figures and posters, but they’re mostly all in my closet.
No room!!!
-
Working on getting some pics of my chainsaw collection for all of you.
-
Cool! Glad to see some new faces!
-
I love collecting horror stuff…comics, action figures, posters, movies. You know its bad when you have 5 different copies of the same movie.
“but this one had an additional scene thats not in the other 5.” lol -
haha yes! I am exactly the same, must get the director cuts
-
Once people stop acting stuck up, and realize it’s okay to buy toys every now and then… I think they’ll get more out of life.:he:
-
I don’t know. Collecting figures and stuff isn’t for everyone and I understand that. On the other hand, people who look down on it can sit on a flag pole as far as I’m concerned.
-
:he::he:
-
I love collecting figures. I do go through waves however. Plus it can get VERY expensive if you get obsessed about it like a have in the past. I usually like to just spend a little more and get the truly amazing collectible about every 6 months, rather than buying every $16.00 figure that comes to my local comic book shop.
-
I love collecting horror stuff. My problem is I have no where to put it. I have several autographed posters and a few toys I have on my desk at work.
-
I try not to spend too much money, I do let myself buy one thing a month if its under $10. Mostly its Freddy stuff pens, dolls, action figures, pretty much anything that has his face on it. My newest one is the glove belt buckle, I really want the shoes but I can’t afford them.
-
I have 3 authentic jason masks. part 3, 5. and a remake.
-
I also collect mostly Freddy stuff. I don’t buy things very often as I don’t have much space. I’ve got Freddy and Leatherface headknockers, a few screengrabs, a few action figures, Hellraiser film cells and the Nightmare on Elm Street board game! (Never played it though)
-
I collect Horror Dvds and to a lesser extent I collect masks and horror magizines as well.
lately I’ve been trying to get my horror and films on Blu-Ray. I’m trying to get a good collection Of Blu-ray Elegant Collections(the first I bought tonight was the 89 Batman..I am picking up Poltergeist and the Matrix soon)
-
check out some old and new picks from my collection over at the Ultimate collections thread.:D
-
Hey acp35 check out amazon.com for some horror on blu-ray they have The Thing for $16 bucks and Hellraiser, Dawn of the Dead and Halloween (original) for about $12.
-
Thank’s I’ll check that out. I’m a blu-ray fan. Especially love HDaudio.
-
I really need to get the HD audio stuff to really appreciate the blu ray experience. I bet Predator would be awesome.
-
I love to collect slasher films on dvd, especially rare, OOP ones. For instance, I have Madman and House on Sorority Row on dvd and I just recently ordered Slumber Party Massacre from Amazon.
-
On the subject of blu ray, it REALLY pisses me off that on some of the older titles, like The Thing, the special features are pretty much non-existent. I bought The Thing on blu ray, sold my dvd copy which had a great, looong documentary, deleted scenes etc, only to find out that it’s not on the blu ray. Well, it is but it’s a…[Read more]

I just ordered a rare slasher film called Curtains from a website that sells what are supposed to be quality DVD-Rs.
-
I know someone needs money!

Let us work out this atrocity!

Traj if I knew back in March that you needed Devil’s Rejects the Horrorhound convention I go to they sell them all other the place. Almost ever vendor has DR figures. I want a small Alien figure that I can fit on my desk.

I love to collect dvds. I just added Clownhouse & Slumber Party Massacre to my collection.

Just got the slasher film Curtains on DVD-R in the mail.
-
I have a rather large horror collection update in the “Ultimate collections” thread mostly involving Hellspawn/Spawn stuff. Pics included! Would love feedback from everyone.
-
I scored all of the Devil’s Rejects figures so all you people who didn’t give a shit that I was looking for them before can continue to not give a shit.
I’m not that way and will gladly do anything I can to help a fellow horror collector find his/her wants.
-
Thanks everyone for making this the biggest group on the site!
Most of you still need to go and post pics of your stuff in the collectables forum!
36 members and we’ve seen less than 10 collections.:(
I guess I’m not thinking about everyone who joined because they collect dvds.
-
I gave a shit Taj, just didn’t have any extras
-
Show off your DVD collections!!
-
i dont know if this counts, but i have a DVD collection of mostly modern horor films that is about 150 and counting…
-
Of course it counts!
C’mon! I know there are more horror collectors here!
-
I joined cause I like collecting whatever I can find. I don’t really have anything super rare (probably the closest is my LE tin of Evil Dead II, only 50000 made in the entire world) but I have a shit ton of movies, as well as some figures and posters.
-
Just picked up the movie books for NOES 1,2,3,4,5,New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason…The book for part 3 is freaking weird, nothing like the movie.
also got the Nancy sitting in tub action figure, they had it under horror action figure instead of NOES on ebay…got it for like $7..whoo hoo -
I actually have the book for Part 3 as well, it is a lot different than the movie. Hell, I haven’t even seen my copy of it in forever, I should see if I can find it around here somewhere.
-
I got all of the books off of Amazon for really cheap, like 4 bucks for each. I am looking for the Freddy’s Dead one but can’t find any info if it even exists.
The things I do for my NOES collection :p
-
Just added Mezco’s Styleized Leatherface to the family!
-
I’m proud to say when most people come into my house for the first time they say that it’s like a horror museum, statues, toys, framed posters, autographs all over the home. I know I’m a geek, I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’m surrounded by what I love!
-
Just added a bunch of pics of my DVD collection, some of my toys & other stuff onto my profile if anyone’s interested.
-
Added:
18″ NECA remake Jason Voorhees
Mezco Living Dead Doll remake Jason Voorhees
NECA Sam from Trick R Treat
Zombie Spider-Man -
Just because everybody here likes horror dosen’t mean we are fuckin geeks!
-
I have the nightmare on elmstreet collectors box set!
-
Horror collector here, geek also.
-
I will say it loud and proud…I AM A GEEK!
HAHA
latest pick ups are Mecco (sp?) NOES Nancy in the tub and a Tall Man figure (thank you devil josh).
I have been really bad on getting new stuff…damn recession
-
I’m off to Collectormania in London on 28th November so I’m planning on picking up a few items while I’m there.
The main reason why I’m going though is to meet Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp & john Saxon! I’m planning on getting a poster signed by all 3 and I will frame it and hang it on my wall with pride! -
^^^ you luck sonofabitch!
show pics when you get back..I NEED TO SEE
-
Didn’t buy much in the end apart from a few DVDs. I’m really happy with my signed poster though! There’s a few pics on my profile. John Saxon wasn’t there in the end.

I could talk about universal studios monsters all day. I would probably say my favorite would have to be the bride of frankenstien WHAT A MOVIE you realy fealt sorry for the monster, all these movies are so special Son of frankenstien, House of frankenstien, the wolfman, Frankenstien meets the wolfman, I could go on forever, come on people lets…[Read more]

the bride of frankenstien is my favorite too and then the wolfman.
-
Huge Universal Horror fan, my favorite would definitely be Frankenstein. Not that Bride bullshit..;) Bride is great but not nearly as good IMO.
I make it a point to break out those Legacy DVD sets around Halloween time.
-
i would say that my favorite is wolfman. i used to watch it all of the time. =)
-
yea wolf man is my fav to.couldent really get into that bride shit!:chainsaw:
-
Maybe because I might be a romantic, but dracula just barely is my favorite monster. He longs for love like anyone else. The wolfman is my other favorite. He is labeled as a monster and nothing else. However, he has many layers people neglect to see.
-
Love me some Universal Monsters. Frankenstein would be my favorite, but I dig them all. Looking forward to nabbing the new Wolfman Legacy DVD in the fall.
-
i think bela lugosi is the awesomest dracula.
-
Dracula is my favorite by far. I love this group.
-
Most chilling line in horror film history, Dracula “I never drink….wine.” Dracula is my all time favorite for many reasons.
-
Dracula is so good not just for bela Lugosi but Dwight Frye. My other favorite is the Mummy, Karloff is hypnotic in that film.
-
bela lugosi as dracula he is the best. dracula’s daughter was an awesome movie too.
-
I’m glad to see that the lesser known films are finally getting there day in the sun. Even better is that they are being released with multiple titles. James Whale’s “THE OLD DARK HOUSE” (1932 after Frankenstein) with Karloff is a classic and should be seen by all.
-
Bela Lugosi is definately the best dracula. My favourite.
-
I used to have a VHS boxed set of all the Universal Horror classics – Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Frankenstein. Awesome set.
Anyway, I have always loved the Universal Monsters. Frankenstein, Dracula and The Invisible Man are my absolute favourites.
-
Universal monsters are great, back when the acting and story were good you gotta love em
-
Bride of Frankenstein is my all-time favorite movie…
-
It doesn’t get any better than these guys. They’re called “universal” monsters for a reason.
-
My favorite would have to be Frankenstien then the Wolfman.
-

That sucks so bad. My prayers go out to her family.
