Definitely excited as well. Here’s hoping he takes his time with it, and makes it the best it can be like he did with Devil’s Rejects.

In reply to: Bracket posted an update in the group H.P Lovecraft Appreciation What do you think is the best adaptation of a Lovecraft story? They include the Re-Animator series, From Beyond, Castle Freak (from The Outsider), […] View

From Beyond is perhaps my favorite adaptation of his work, though really only it’s first ten minutes adapt anything that was actually in the story.

In reply to: Bracket posted an update in the group H.P Lovecraft Appreciation The title says it all, what’s your favorite Lovecraft story and why? View

The Hound will always be my favorite Lovecraft story. While it’s true it’s very much so a Poe-like, almost Tell-Tale Heart like story there’s just something about it that hits me the right way.

In reply to: zombiedogfood posted an update in the group Tim Burton fans he was great up until about 2000, but his last couple movies were garbage. ill always give him a chance though, maybe its just a phase you know? what do […] View

I disagree heavily with the thread starter. Big Fish and Sweeney Todd are two of my all time favorite Tim Burton flicks. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland are entertaining re-tellings of classic tales and I was very glad to see them through the eyes of Burton. Corpse Bride is a very fun film as well.

In reply to: Visitor-Q posted an update in the group Kevin Smith in Horror! I’m a long time Smith fan, I hope this film is good. I not a fan of his last two films, so I hope Kevin brings a breath of fresh air to the horror […] View

If the clips he’s played on his podcast is any indication – then there will still be a little Jay and Silent Bob style humor somewhere in the movie. It’ll probably just be very sparse, and most likely only in the beginning.
