Steven Byers commented on the post, [Box Office] ‘Evil Dead’ Makes Its Own History, ‘Scary Movie 5′ Sorta Flops April 14, 2013 3:33 pm
Now that the hype has died down, let’s be real here: Evil Dead sucked. Not surprised by its box office drop. The Scary Movie franchise was doomed from the second one. Aside from Spring Breakers, when are we going […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, Stephen King’s ‘Cujo’ Being Resurrected April 13, 2013 1:19 pm
There hasn’t been a memorable horror remake since “The Thing”. I say this TIME and TIME again, and I have seen almost every single horror remake just to see if the mold is broken, but no matter how close it comes […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, Hi-Res First Look At Heard, Trejo In ‘Machete Kills’! February 2, 2013 6:49 am
The first was a decent time-waster (I’d give it a 6.6/10), but hopefully they bring it all with this one.

Steven Byers commented on the post, Bloody, Gory ‘Evil Dead’ Reboot Gets An Official “R” Rating! January 29, 2013 8:32 pm
Call me greedy, but I am MASSIVELY disappointed now, so much I might not even see it. Just to know I’m not getting the full deal, it’s kind of disheartning.

Steven Byers commented on the post, Yep! There’s A Remake Of ‘The Orphanage’ On The Way! January 21, 2013 6:32 pm
I’ll pretty much regurgitate what everyone else is saying, the original is seriously one of the best ghost horror movies of all time, if not the best one. Trying to outdo it or cough up a decent remake will […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, ‘V/H/S’ Finally Coming Out On VHS In The US! January 14, 2013 11:24 pm
One of those cases where the hype was actually more interesting than the movie itself.

Steven Byers commented on the post, R.I.P. David R. Ellis (1952-2013) January 7, 2013 11:10 pm
While I was never a fan of his movies, he seemed like he enjoyed his job, but this is just really, really sad. 52? That’s such a tragedy. He will always be remembered by the camp-classic “Snakes on a Plane”.

Steven Byers commented on the post, Did You Hate ‘Prometheus’? Watch A 4-Minute Long Hate Fest! January 6, 2013 11:41 am
I honestly don’t think it was supposed to be a legit analysis of the problems in the movie. I think it was supposed to semi-sarcastic and maybe some were true, but it seems (like everyone else is saying), they […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, Horror Dominates January Box Office. Again. ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ #1! January 5, 2013 11:20 pm
I’ll rent it via Vudu 3D. I’m tired of shelling money out to see average to poor films in theaters. If something doesn’t bide well with not only the fanbase but also the critics, to me it’s not worth my time, plus […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, 5 New Clips Spruce Up ‘A Haunted House’! January 5, 2013 11:10 pm
The trailer looks a lot funnier than all this clips combined, which is not a good sign for a movie, considering the trailer usually includes the best part, is heavily edited and cut, etc. While the clips are […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, First Clip From ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Welcomes You To Texas Motherf*cker!!! December 25, 2012 11:18 am
Looks INCREDIBLY stupid. If you’re going to do a remake, do it right. To this day, the only horror remakes that actually serve for a good purpose are “The Thing” and “The Fly”. I have yet to see a remake (while […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, [2013 HORROR MOVIE PREVIEW] UNIVERSAL PICTURES December 24, 2012 12:52 pm
Mama looks promising, but the same was said about Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and look at how that movie turned out. Excited for Curse of Chucky but not too thrilled about the home video thing.

Steven Byers commented on the post, The Trailer For ‘Scary Movie 5′ Makes Me Want To See ‘A Haunted House’ Even More December 22, 2012 10:13 am
It actually doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would look, but I still wouldn’t pay full money to see it. If they took out Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan, some of the slapstick humor, and if the movie didn’t […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, ‘A Haunted House’ Poster Spoofs ‘The Devil Inside’ December 16, 2012 6:58 pm
I don’t know what’s gonna be worse. The Devil Inside or A Haunted House? The former was already one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.

Steven Byers commented on the post, Say Your Prayers, Here Comes An Exclusive ‘Conjuring’ Still! November 19, 2012 6:31 pm
It’s a toss-up. Out of Wan’s resume, I only liked “Insidious”, and even then is a bit of a stretch. “Saw” was alright and “Dead Silence” was a bore. I like the cast, but the premise seems recycled as hell. Will […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, Wes Craven Doubts You Want ‘Scream 5′, Is He Right? November 13, 2012 11:57 am
The problem with Scream 4 is that it didn’t feel like a Scream movie- AT ALL. It’s like they took everything from a Scream movie and just made something else. Of course your movie shouldn’t be a carbon copy of the […]

Steven Byers commented on the post, 10 Top Calorie-Burning Horror Movies!!! October 29, 2012 6:15 pm
I’d move The Exorcist to the #1 spot, take out Jaws & Saw, and have Paranormal & Witch swap spots. Other than that, solid list.

Steven Byers commented on the post, [Blu-ray Review] ‘Halloween II’ Is A Chore To Watch September 24, 2012 9:18 pm
The only good Halloween was the first one, as simple as that. Halloween II sucked, Halloween III was just stupid, IV was worse, and Rob Zombies films were godawful. Haven’t seen the rest but could imagine they’d […]
