Scooby-Doo Enters the Squared Circle in ‘Curse of the Speed Demon’

A trailer for the upcoming animated mystery comedy Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon has been released and it shows the gang donning their tights and getting ready for some wrasslin’!

The film is the 26th entry in the direct-to-video Scooby Doo series and acts as a direct sequel to 2014’s Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery.

It’s pedal to the metal as Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the gang team up with the superstars of WWE in this hi-octane, original movie! When Scooby and Mystery Inc. visit an off-road racing competition, it’s not long before strange events start to occur. A mysterious phantom racer, known only as Inferno, is causing chaos and determined to sabotage the race. It’s up Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and their new driving partner, The Undertaker, to save the race and solve the mystery. Along with other WWE superstars such as Triple H, Paige and Sheamus, it’s time to start your engine and your appetite because Scooby-Doo and WWE are chasing down adventure and laughs just for you!

The film features the voices of WWE’s Michael Cole, Goldust, Kofi Kingston, Lana, Stephanie McMahon, Paige, Sheamus, Triple H, The Undertaker, Cody Rhodes, and Vince McMahon, as well as several others.

Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon is slated to come out on August 9th.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
