The last must-see horror movie of the year is André Øvredal’s thriller The Autopsy of Jane Doe (read our rave review), which IFC Midnight will release on December 21st of this year.
The film follows two coroners – a father (Brian Cox) and son (Emile Hirsch) – who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.
Below is a clip from the film in which the aforementioned duo opened up Jane Doe’s mouth to learn that her tongue has been cut clean off. While this isn’t a spoiler it’s pretty significant in the scheme of things…
Mark your calendars and open up Jane Doe for the holidays.
