‘Birdemic’ Star Whitney Moore’s Car Breaks Down in the Middle of a Zombie Apocalypse!

Published

When Bloody Disgusting and Severin discovered Birdemic in 2009, our biggest takeaway was how much the camera loved Whitney Moore. Sure, James Nguyen is one of the worst directors of all time, but he did one thing right, and that was cast Whitney. We were such huge fans that we snuck her into Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett’s A Horrible Way to Die, which starred Amy Seimetz, who is now moving on to the big times with a role in Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant. Since then, Whitney can be seen all over the Web; she’s an amazing host who has recently joined our “This Week in Horror” team.

With that, we’d be remiss to not share news that she’ll also be starring in Breaking Glass Pictures’ Breakdown Lane, on DVD and VOD May 16, 2017.

When Kirby Lane’s SUV stalls in the desert, she must overcome the elements…and the lurking undead that surround her. Her only companion is Max, the Emergency Car Service rep trapped in his office by the zombie apocalypse, and the lone voice guiding her home.

Beginning May 16, Breakdown Lane, directed by Robert Conway (The Covenant, Exit to Hell, Krampus Unleashed), will be available on the following platforms: iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play, PlayStation, Xbox, Vudu, and through local cable/satellite providers.

Horror movie fanatic who co-founded Bloody Disgusting in 2001. Producer on Southbound, V/H/S/2/3/94, SiREN, Under the Bed, and A Horrible Way to Die. Chicago-based. Horror, pizza and basketball connoisseur. Taco Bell daily. Franchise favs: Hellraiser, Child's Play, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Scream and Friday the 13th. Horror 365 days a year.

The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
