‘Suburbicon’ Brings Mob Violence to the ‘Burbs (Trailer)

There goes the neighborhood.

George Clooney is taking on Halloween with his new comedic thriller Suburbicon, which looks like a whacky and violent mob film that boasts the impressive cast of Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Noah Jupe and Oscar Isaac.

Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon.

Seeing Damon as a suburbian badass is all kinds of awesome…

50’s comedy, so the logical choice for the soundtrack is…hip hop?

You can thank the garbage music of today. Most of the trailers play shitty unrelated music that fits today’s music in their trailers for some reason.

Whoa. Written by the Coen brothers and directed by George Clooney? That’s enough for me to give it a shot.

  • Looks solid and pretty violent, hope it’s not bad as Monuments Men

  • Juliane looks AMAZING here. I never thought of her as a blonde but her eyes match it so well, she almost looks Burton like

Dude! This looks great! Mr. Clooney has some great visuals right here and, even if the trailer gives away a bit too much about the story, it seems pretty interesting and really Coen-ish.

Can’t stand George Clooney but this looks like a lot of fun.
