Described as a suburban Greek tragedy, A24 released the first chilling trailer for Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing of a Sacred Deer, a psychological revenge thriller in which Colin Farrell plays a successful surgeon who attempts to integrate a teenager into his family, but when the teen’s actions grow increasingly sinister, the doctor is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice.
Nicole Kidman, Alicia Silverstone, and Bill Camp also star in the film that will hit theaters on October 27, 2017, while also screening at the forthcoming Fantastic Fest in Austin.
It sounds pretty dark and something the company behind The Witch, The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Ex Machina, Tusk, Under the Skin, and even The Monster would release.
