The Japanese Twitter account for the Lionsgate’s Jigsaw just shared this excellent international poster for the eighth Saw film that brings back the famous Billy puppet front and center. He also makes an appearance at the end of the film’s first trailer that sets up a funny one-liner.
In the new film out October 27, 2017…
Bodies are turning up, and they’re linked to Jigsaw — or a Jigsaw copycat.
The new chapter in the long-running saga has been rated “R” for “Grisly Bloody Violence and Torture.”
We understand that neither Costas Mandylor nor Cary Elwes will be returning to play their respective characters, who both ended up becoming Jigsaw apprentices in earlier installments. As for the original Jigsaw himself, Tobin Bell will be back in some capacity.
The cast also includes Mandela Van Peebles, Laura Vandervoort, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Matt Passmore, Hannah Emily Anderson, Josiah Black, Shaquan Lewis, Michael Bolsvert, and James Gomez.
Jigsaw was written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger (Piranha 3D and Sorority Row). In the director’s chairs were the Spierig brothers, Peter and Michael, who brought us Daybreakers and Predestination.
Thanks to @owslajosh for the tip.
