Filming Wraps on Eli Roth-Produced Halloween Film ‘Haunt’; Cast Announced

Eli Roth

We’ve confirmed this week that filming has officially wrapped on Haunt, an Eli Roth-produced, Halloween-set horror film we first told you about over the summer.

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods directed the tale of haunting taken to the extreme, which has a cast including Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night), Katie Stevens, Shazi Raja, Andrew Caldwell, Will Brittain, Austin Lyon, Lauryn Alisa McClain, Schuyler Helford, Justin Rose, Kurt Oberhaus and Phillip Johnson Richardson.

As previously mentioned, Haunt takes place on Halloween when:

A group of friends encounter an “extreme” haunted house which promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some nightmares are real.”

Beck and Woods penned Paramount’s A Quiet Place, which stars John Krasinski and Emily Blunt and marks Krasinski’s major studio directorial debut.

Todd Garner is also producing via his Broken Road along with Nickel City’s Mark Fasano, Ankur Rungta and Vishal Rungta. Sierra/Affinity’s Marc Schaberg and Josie Liang, Broken Road’s Jeremy Stein, and Nickel City’s Tobias Weymar are executive producers.

it’s not specific to this site but i really hate when a movie is directed by some unknown/not very well known director but is produced by a well known director (or actor or whoever) and it’s promoted as “ELI ROTH PRODUCED…” (or any other well known person in the biz).
i understand that using the famous/well known director’s name to promote the movie helps business-wise but for me it’s like, who cares about who produced it? it just seems like a cheap ploy to make the movie more noticeable.

True ! Now Eli Roth is top billed in his productions, but last decade, it was the opposite. For Hostel, it’s promoted as “QUENTIN TARANTINO PRESENTS” with Eli Roth written in very small.

Oh, WHY is Eli Roth being allowed to make another movie? Who is financing this guy?
