What happens when the happiest day of your life becomes… the scariest?

Via THR, Fox Searchlight Productions has picked up the thriller package Ready or Not, with Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin of the filmmaking collective Radio Silence on board to direct. The group was behind the “10/31/98” segment of our own V/H/S, as well as the “Way Out” and “Way In” segments of our Southbound.

Gillett and Bettinelli-Olpin also directed 2014’s Devil’s Due.

“Ready or Not tells of a bride who, marrying into a wealthy gaming family, sees her wedding night turn deadly when the eccentric new in-laws force her into a bizarre and terrifying game of hide and seek.”

Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy wrote Ready or Not, with Tripp Vinson set to produce via his banner, Vinson Films. James Vanderbilt, Bradley Fischer and William Sherak of Mythology Entertainment are also producing. Executive producing are Tara Farney, Tracey Nyberg and Radio Silence’s Chad Villella.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
