The cast of Sony’s Venom just got even more impressive.
With Tom Hardy already starring as the title antihero, Woody Harrelson is in talks to join the cast as “a henchman of sorts”, writes Variety. Harrelson would join the cast that already includes Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, and Jenny Slate.
The film is rumored to follow two famous “Venom” storylines from the comics, one which gives birth to five more symbiotes, and another that sets up Venom to battle an all-out symbiote war. Carnage is the lead antagonist, with Ahmed rumored to portray the legendary villain.
The film reteams Harrelson with Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer.
Harrelson elevates any film he’s in, whether it’s Zombieland or War for the Planet of the Apes.
Venom hits theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
