Gruesome ‘The Barge People’ Trailer Unleashes Insane Creature Mayhem!

Currently in post-production and set for release this year, the Christopher Lombard-penned, Charlie Steeds-directed The Barge People looks a bit like The Hills Have Eyes meets H.P. Lovecraft, centered on a group of friends who find themselves preyed upon by flesh-eating fish mutants that would be right at home in Lovecraft’s stories.

This is 2018’s craziest trailer so far. Enjoy.

“Set on the canals amid the glorious British countryside, two sisters and their boyfriends head off for a relaxing weekend away on a barge, unaware of the flesh-eating fish mutants lurking in the water, ready and waiting to feed.”

Kate Davies-Speak, Mark McKirdy, Makenna Guyler, Natalie Martins, Matt Swales, Kane Surry, Emma Spurgin Hussey, Tim Cartwright, David Lenik, Barrington De La Roche, Carl Andersson, Harrison Nash and Sam Lane star.

No reason to watch the movie after you have watched that trailer.

The trailer does show a lot but still interested in watching this movie.

    • turk

Yeah, you can pretty much tell who lives and dies from that trailer. But, I’ll probably forget by the time the movie comes out. Does look like fun.

  • zombie84_41

LMFAOOO so thats what happens when you mix humaniods from the deep and hatchet. looks like a good fun movie even if the trailer showed us everything but hey thats what trailers do these days.

    • Necro

No joke there! I know especially with the smaller budgeted films I’m sometimes very hesitant to watch the trailer in hopes that they don’t show too much!

      • zombie84_41

thats why I don’t watch horror trailers for movies I want to see cus I know they ruin it all.

  • MrX13

Haha, this movie looks freakin interesting and entertaining as f**k! From the looks of it, no one survives but still want to see it. The creatures look great as does the practical effects, really a + for this movie.

      Yep Yep!

Creatures looked like rejects from an Asylum movie IMO

      • MrX13

It reminded me of the Mer-Man in Cabin In The Woods

  • turk

Looks entertaining, but don’t watch the trailer if you want to know who lives and who dies.

Also, is that a thing in the UK, to rent these tiny barges and slowly go down the canal? Looks really, really boring and pointless. And the scenery doesn’t look particularly impressive. But I digress…

    • Jeff

I was thinking the same thing. Wow a barge… so fun……

  • Pokey

The writer and director don’t give me confidence this will be good.

  • Rocky

From the producer of Escape From Cannibal Farm… ppfftt, that film has supposedly been coming out for the last year and still nothing. This one looks ok, but as others others have said, the trailer shows the whole film in 2 mins.

    Creatures From The Barge Lagoon!

  • TheMuppetManiac

I didn’t know you could make a mask out of silly putty.

  • Ferran Luengo

That things look like didn’t make the cut for a Doctor Who episode.

Don`t you hate it when monsters “Barge” in on you..!!!

  • nicholasmwalker

haha all of those creatures are silicon masks from immortal masks… that’s one way to come in on budget. in their defense, immortal masks products are pretty amazing

  • Jeff

How boring does your life have to be for a weekend on a barge to sound like fun……
