Danish director Jonas Arby, who helmed the gorgeous festival hit When Animals Dream, is next getting behind the camera on Suicide Tourist, reports Cinema Scandivania.
The film will be about an insurance broker called Max whose live revolves around keeping his walnut brain tumor in check. He does everything to take care of himself, but it makes him more depressed. When he realizes his wife is going to leave him, he decides to take his own life. When it doesn’t initially work, he checks himself into a suicide hotel, which ends up teaching him about the joy of life and inevitability of death.
Suicide Tourist will be co-produced by Snowglobe and Mer Film and will be released in May 2019. No casting details have been announced yet.
