It’s a rare experience to get to see his work in person and even more rare for him to have the pieces for sale! Inside you can check out the pictures from the opening. Comprised of 45 paintings and 30 works on paper, this show is a mixture of new works, and other works referencing the Abarat series of books, two of five of which have been released to date. Barker’s paintings are realist works in a highly expressive style of layered impasto and deeply worked fields of color. There is a 32 page, color catalog accompanying the exhibition.
