Children’s Book Becomes Twist of Genre Favs

Children’s book The Great Ghost Rescue is on its way to the big screen, which isn’t all that bad because Odd Lot intends to adapt the book as a live action feature in the tone of Ghostbusters and The Addams Family. Yann Samuell will direct from a screenplay by David Solomons. Based on the popular children’s book by New York Times best seller Eva Ibboston, the story is set in the world where ghosts are the protagonists and the living and the people they fear. “Rescue” centers on a small ghost whose family loses its home and has to find a new haunting ground while evading exorcists.
