Exclusive Interview: Pat Flynn Of Have Heart

A little over a year ago an amazing band broke up, they were called Have Heart. They filmed their final show and it’ll be released in a month on Bridge 9 Records. I recently got to catch up with the former lead singer Pat Flynn about what he’s got going on now since the break up. Enjoy!

patflynn Exclusive Interview: Pat Flynn Of Have Heart

Read past the break for my interview!
SuperRadMike: How have things changed for you since your final show last year?

Pat Flynn: White to black.

SuperRadMike: What projects are you currently working on?

Pat Flynn: Waking up each day is a project, along with falling asleep of each one, graduate school, the performing arts of wolf whistle and mowing my mom’s lawn and deciphering the existence of god and the meaning of life.

SuperRadMike: Was this release planned?

Pat Flynn: Yes.

SuperRadMike: Do you think this is a good final testament for what Have Heart did for hardcore?

Pat Flynn: No.

SuperRadMike: What do you think of the state of hardcore music at the moment?

Pat Flynn: Mob rules all, along with white kids with fake and unreal problems of boredom and imaginary enemies.

SuperRadMike: Would you have done anything differently? Any regrets during those years as part of Have Heart?

Pat Flynn: I would have not had TTWC (The Things We Carry) sound so fake and produced. A lot of what made those songs raw was lost on that recording.

SuperRadMike: Any final words?

Pat Flynn: The horror….the horror
