The T.V. Show Dexter May Get The Video Game Treatment

1up posted about a possible Dexter video game. Dexter, which started out on Showtime and is being re-played on CBS, plays host to the character Dexter Morgan who works for the Miami Police as a forensic blood analyst. However, in his off time Dexter becomes a serial killer himself, but only killing criminals. Mark Ecko Entertainment (Yes of the Ecko clothing line) and Showtime Networks will be the ones at the front of this project.

Mark Ecko Entertainment is not too famously known for their game Marc Eckō’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure, which was an absolute abortion of a game. Sadly enough, The Collective who were the Developers of the game, are the same developers that are working on Silent Hill 5. I have faith they will learn from their mistakes.

“Dexter is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling videogame,” said Marc Fernandez, Vice President of Marc Ecko Entertainment. “Our game designers, writers, and artists are going to give Dexter?s morally complex world the kind of interactivity that gamers will love.”

This could be a great game, but, well, we’ll have to wait and see.
