Guns And Roses, New Album For Rock Band Before The Cd Hits Shelves
It ain’t horror, but it’s pretty crazy none the less. Rock Band developer Harmonix has announced that April 8th’s downloadable content for the hit game will be the Guns n’ Roses album Chinese Democracy – in its entirety.

Not only is this the first “full album” release for the game (other albums promised include Nirvana’s Nevermind and The Who’s Next), but this also marks the first time that music from a prominent band has been released for the game before it was commercially available. Says Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos, “This is a very exciting day for both fans of Rock Band and of Guns N’ Roses. Not only will it put every Rock Band player on an equal playing field (since they aren’t familiar with the songs yet), but fans of the band will finally get to hear what Axl has been working on for over a decade.” While Axl and the other current Guns N’ Roses members had no comment, former Gn’R guitarist (and Guitar Hero III “boss”) Slash is “ecstatic” about the news, and plans to be one of the first to download the tracks when they become available on Tuesday over Xbox Live (PS3 owners have to wait until April 15th, when Sony’s restructuring of the PS network is complete). “I just hope it was worth the wait,” said Slash. Songs will be available for the usual price of 160 points each (about $1.99), or in a bundle containing all ten tracks for 1200 points ($12.50).
