Prototype 2 is all about having fun. It’s like Just Cause 2 or Saints Row in that you’re given a huge world to explore and a vast assortment of tools with which to destroy it. I really enjoyed the first game, despite its flaws, and the next one looks like it’s taking everything to a whole other level. How many games let you karate kick helicopters and throw your enemies halfway across the city? I can’t say for sure but I think it’s safe to say there aren’t many that offer that type of fun, and now it looks like we can add “pulsating tendril action” to the ever-growing list of amazing features in Prototype 2.
Usually when I whip out my pulsating tendril in a public space I’m met with wide-eyes and a lot of laughter. Thanks to Prototype 2 that laughter will be replaced by screams and bloodshed when the game releases sometime next year.
