Last month we witnessed what it takes to make gunfire sound real (hint, you record real gunfire) and now we get to go behind the scenes with F.3.A.R. yet again to see how they captured the graceful animations in the game. In the video below you can watch them record the movements of a couple actors that are then used in the game to make the character movements more realistic then animating them by hand.
I would love to be a mo-cap actor, if only so I can have a reason to come into work every day dressed in tight fitting clothing covered in little balls. I could totally pull that off.
