We broke the news on the new Jason Voorhees and now we’ve discovered who will play the killer behind the mask in Lionsgate’s remake of My Bloody Valentine, which hits theaters January 23, 2009 in 3-D. Bloody-Disgusting learned that stuntman Chris Carnel (Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Devil’s Rejects, among many others) will play The Miner/Harry Warden (the killer in the film), which was original played by Peter Cowper in the original 1981 pic. No word on if the character’s name has changed or not in the remake. In the remake Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders.
