While on the red carpet for the Saturn Awards, website Collider chatted a bit with Cloverfield director Matt Reeves who talked a bit about the possibilities of a sequel, which J.J. Abrams recently implied he might not even want to make. Reeves does confirm that the sequel to the smash-hit giant monster movie is on hold and that resurrecting the beast ultimately it depends on if they find a good idea to make it worthwhile.
