A Little Background on Your Director
The Hollywood Reporter had some sweet details on the resume of commercial director Jaume, who has been given the keys to Dark Castle Entertainment’s House of Wax 3-D for Warner Bros. Pictures/Village Roadshow Pictures. Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis and Susan Levin are producing. Jaume — a native of Barcelona, Spain, whose full name is Jaume Collet-Serra — is known for commercials filled with black humor. A 7UP spot of his featured a mermaid who recovered a bottle of the soft drink for a fisherman, who then captures her and puts her on display. An anti-tobacco commercial for the Arizona Department of Health Services was set in a macabre funhouse that had a youth getting a hole drilled in his throat.
