‘Beyond the Grave’ Official Website and Trailer Launched

Published

on

LOCKHEART FILMES LTDA. presents the first full trailer of the independent Brazilian horror-fantasy BEYOND THE GRAVE (aka PORTO DOS MORTOS). The preview of the feature film can be viewed at the official website. Written and directed by Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro (who’s also producing with Isidoro B. Guggiana), BEYOND THE GRAVE follows the unstoppable hunt of the vengeful cop Lockheart (Rafael Tombini) for Adam, a supernatural serial killer. The film is currently in post-production and looking for international distribution.
The storyline of BEYOND THE GRAVE follows a dark journey through the wastelands of a dystopic Brazil. In this forsaken landscape, Lockheart will join forces with a group of survivors and face his demonic nemesis and the rage of the “returners” who inhabited the world. “This is not a zombie or serial killer film, but a reaction to the recent production as well as to my own preconceptions of what the movie should be. It’s a violent and emotional experience, mixing possession, black magic, the living dead and intense doses of suspense, character work and spanking action”, believes Davi.

BEYOND THE GRAVE was shot in 22 days between the months of February and April in the city of Porto Alegre and surroundings. Locations were specifically chosen and/or adapted for the pessimistic and particular look of the world created by the first time feature director. A crew of forty people was assembled to bring his dream project to life. “BEYOND THE GRAVE is full of strong characters and cool set pieces that I have thought for a long time. It’s a real dream to be able to bring such intense images to the screen”, says Davi.

Horror movie fanatic who co-founded Bloody Disgusting in 2001. Producer on Southbound, V/H/S/2/3/94, SiREN, Under the Bed, and A Horrible Way to Die. Chicago-based.
