Our interview SuperHeidi just got off the phone with the amazing Sid Haig, whom plays Captain Spaulding in the House of 1000 Corpse films and kicked started the crazy family films with Spider Baby back in 1964. Inside you’ll find a small piece of brand new news regarding the storyline in House of 1000 Corpses 2. Read on for the scoop!
SuperHeidi writes, “Sid Haig, the loveable demented Captain Spaulding from House of 100 Corpses, gives a small scoop on the upcoming Rob Zombie demented sequel. Straight from his mouth come the following:
- Even He hasn’t seen the script yet!
- It will be Darker, More Violent, More Sinister, and hell, just more scary
- At one point, it will turn into a Road Show with Baby, Spaulding, and Otis having a blast on a cross country fun trek while killing tons of innocent people?
You can check out Sid’s First Film Spider Baby by Jack Hill (buy it here for $13), the original demented family horror fun fest on DVD, along with the film Switchblade Sisters (buy it here for $13), on the B-side of which can be found The Host, a student film made by Jack Hill during his UCLA film school days. Sid swears that the last 1/3 of Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now is a direct rip off of The Host. We’ll let you decide? Thank Quentin Tarantino for this loving restoration, folks!
House of 1000 Corpses 2 is set for a Fall 2004 release and is set to begin shooting this April.
