Warner Bros. Sets Watchmen Writer on ‘Ninja Scroll’

I was starting to think we’d never see a live-action adaptation to the Manga action-horror film Ninja Scroll, but thankfully the film was acquired by Warner Bros. Pictures this past week, which still slightly concerns me. WB has been putting a live-action adaptation of AKIRA together for years, and it has still yet to shoot. At least there’s some (exciting) progress already as Alex Tse (Watchmen) has been set to write the script. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way is producing both SCROLL and AKIRA. SCROLL, set in feudal Japan, revolves around ninja for hire is forced to fight an old enemy who will stop at nothing to overthrow the government, which is run by a group of monsters. DiCaprio is not planning to act in the film. Read on for a look at the trailer for the animated film.
