Hilton would play one of a group of friends who fall prey to a sinister plot while passing through a small town on their way to a college football game.
Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis and Susan Levin are producing with exec producers Herb Gains, Steve Richards and Bruce Berman.
“Wax” is skedded to start shooting in Australia in May for an October release.
Hilton’s previous film credits include “Zoolander,” “Wonderland” and “Dr Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat.” She will next be seen in the Disney pic “Raising Helen,” starring Kate Hudson.
