More Cassie Hack vs ‘Eve’ Warfare

Published

on

A few days back we reported on a new indie film entitled Eve, which sounded eerily similar to Rogue Pictures and Relativity Media’s project Hack/Slash, a comic adaptation with commercial director Todd Lincoln attached to direct. Today the official synopsis and early one sheet found their way online and have a shocking resemblance to the popular comic series from Devil’s Due Publishing.
UHM scored the following art and synopsis: “The film is set in an alternate, more seedy Los Angeles. After discovering her father was the deadliest serial killer of all time, Evelyn makes the decision to track down every psycho she can get her hands on. But these are no ordinary killers, they have supernatural advantages to them – something she must learn to adapt to. She also must learn as to why they are gathering in this city and what their evil intentions are while having to reconcile with her own past.

Hack/Slash, created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who travels to small towns across the country hunting supernatural slashers in the vein of “Halloween’s” Michael Myers, “Friday the 13th’s” Jason Voorhees and “A Nightmare on Elm Street’s” Freddy Krueger. She is partnered on her journey with Vlad, a hulking companion who serves as her protector. Her career began when she was forced to kill her own serial killer mother known as “The Lunch Lady” who killed kids who used to pick on Cassie.

Pretty damn similar if you ask me…
