Until The Crying Game came along, the best all time “WHAT THE F—?” twist in a movie had to be Robert Hiltzik’s Sleepaway Camp, and there must have been chaos in the theater back in 1983 when the film was released, before the internet spoiled the hell out of it for everyone who hadn’t yet seen the film. Well, you can relive that experience tomorrow (October 8th) at the Cinefamily in Los Angeles, with a screening of Camp co-hosted by Bloody Disgusting! It will be followed by Hiltzik’s direct sequel (ignoring 2 and 3) Return To Sleepaway Camp. Ten bucks gets you a ticket for both films, but Bloody Disgusting has got one lucky reader covered! Read after the break for info.
To win a pair of passes (you and a guest) for Thursday, October 8th’s double feature of Sleepaway Camp/Return to Sleepaway Camp, simply drop an email titled “SLEEPAWAY” with your name, age, and number to SlasherScreenings@gmail.com. Winner will be chosen at random. You will be notified and your name will be held at the door. Cinefamily is located at 611 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036. Good luck and we will see you at the show!
