During my chat with Richard Kelly today regarding his latest film The Box, he revealed his hopes for his latest project, in which it looks like he might be going all James Cameron on us. “I’m working on my new script, I’m probably on the eighth draft of it right now, and I’ve just kinda been waiting for ‘The Box’ to come out to see if I can get [the project] off the ground,” Kelly told BD in an exclusive interview. “It’s a thriller set in Manhattan in the year 2014. We hope to shoot the movie in 3-D, and part of the movie would be filmed using full CGI motion capture.” Sounds nifty. Let’s just hope that if it does come to fruition, it doesn’t take as long as Avatar to make it to the big screen.
