Belgian actress Cecile de France has signed to star opposite Matt Damon in Clint Eastwood’s intriguing supernatural drama Hereafter for Warner Bros. The first details were revealed from the Peter Morgan penned screenplay; it tells the story of three people who are touched by death in different ways. De France, whose credits include High Tension and Russian Dolls, will portray a French journalist who has a near-death experience. Principal photography began last month on Hereafter, produced by Eastwood, Kathleen Kennedy and Robert Lorenz. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Peter Morgan and Tim Moore are the exec producers. Filming will take place in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco. Pic is slated for release in December 2010. What do you guys think of this news? I’m getting more and more excited. I hope there’s a level of darkness to it, I really don’t want it to be a straight forward drama.
