Some huge news for fans of survival horror as Bait 3D have all received an early Christmas present of production cash from Screen Australia and a fourth feature has scored post-production investment. Russell Mulcahy’s Bait is the first 3D feature to receive support from the government agency. The film, which will be released through Paramount in the Australia, will centre on a group of people trapped in a flood underground supermarket with a pack of hungry tiger sharks after a tsunami. Mulcahy is no stranger to survival horror as he directed the stylish Razorback, along with Resident Evil: Extinction for Sony Screen Gems. Arclight Films is handling sales and one of its principal, Gary Hamilton, is producing alongside Todd Fellman and Ian Maycock.
