Colin and Greg Strause (Aliens vs Predator: Requiem) are returning to the horror genre with Skyline, a new supernatural thriller now in production. There
are were no details (check ’em below), but Production Weekly reports that Kate Mara (Iron Man 2, Brokeback Mountain), Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Horsemen, Hell Ride, “Six Feet Under”) and Laz Alonso (Straw Dogs, Avatar, Captivity) have all joined the cast. Here’s the plot crunch: After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherwordly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them. The Brothers Strause will also direct the Brett Ratner produced Mange (a werewolf movie?).
