Those of you who have seen Desmond Davis’ original 1981 masterpiece Clash of the Titans will know that the film has a well-rounded finale, an epic conclusion that literally puts the icing on the cake. Even when I was watching the film as an 8-year-old (playing sick and staying home from school) I wondered what could happen next? It’s such an epic story that it’s almost shocking to me there have been no sequels. Thankfully, Warner Bros. is looking to turn the remake into a brand new trilogy, at least that’s what Louis Leterrier thinks. Read on.
“We’ve talked about it loosely,” Leterrier told MTV. “Any movie of this size, [the studio wants] to know you won’t hit a wall after your first movie. So they’re like, ‘If we green light your movie and give you the money, what’s the idea for the sequel?’ And you just give them some ideas. You draw an arc for your character. I’m not saying I know what exactly will happen to Perseus in the next two movies, but I know the direction and it’s pretty exciting.”

Hopefully the film does well and WB will get on a sequel ASAP (and actually shoot it in 3D this time).
