Damn I hate news like this- Mikael Hafstrom’s Drowning Ghost, which played at Cannes a few weeks back has been picked up for distribution- to just about everywhere but the US. Read on and see if you live in a place that makes you a lucky individual….
“Drowning Ghost,” from Swedish director Mikael Hafstrom, has sold to eight countries after its Cannes unspooling, according to Denmark’s Nordisk Film Intl. Sales.
SF Media-Solo Film purchased the pic for Germany and Austria, Pacific Management took it for Singapore and Malaysia, New World for Thailand, Farabi for Iran, JS Film for South Korea and Videofilmes/Lumiere for Brazil.
Pic, produced by Hans Lonnerheden’s Greta Film, is based on a murder at a Swedish school in 1903 and the mysterious events there 100 years later.
