While you might know him as the badass Jason Stackhouse in “True Blood”, Ryan Kwanten also starred in James Wan’s haunting Dead Silence. With the third season of “True Blood” in the can, Kwanten is using his time off to tackle yet another genre film as he’ll be starring alongside Steve Zahn (Joy Ride, A Perfect Getaway, “Treme”) and Peter Dinklage (previously announced here on BD) in Knights of Badassdom, the Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2) directed horror comedy that begins lensing this summer. “It’s sort of a comedy… like Shaun of the Dead meets Role Models,” Ryan told Access Hollywood. “It’s that real black comedy that I really love.” The film focuses on medieval live action role playing. Creepy already.
