South Korea’s Puchon Fantastic Film Festival (Pifan) will open with helmer Paul Scheuring’s The Experiment, starring Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker, on July 15 and close with Korean helmer Yoo Seon-dong’s newly announced Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp July 25. Experiment centers on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants. Death Bell 2 follows a college-aged student teacher (played by Hwang Jeong-Eum) is assigned to a high school. Once she arrives murders start occurring in succession.
