A new horror film, Cousin Sarah, is currently in development under Multi Valence Productions and Willoughby Pictures. The film stars actress Leah Pipes (Sorority Row, The Deep End), Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob), Teri McMinn (1974s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre), John Savage (Deer Hunter, The Crossing Guard), and in negotiations is actress Haley Duff (Material Girls).
The film is being directed by Ian Christian Blanche.
Filming will begin in fall of 2010 at the Universal Studios back lot.
Garcia & Morin penned the screenplay “about a teenage girl named Crystal who has just graduated from high school in a small town community in Southern California. She realizes that she will be breaking up with her high school sweetheart Jake, who will be moving to the east coast in the fall. Her older cousin Sarah, who has become the post-hippie poster child, arrives in town and tries to find a way into Crystal’s circle of friends. After several creepy events and disturbing dreams of burning houses, Crystal begins to wonder if there is something sinister in Sarah’s background.”
